Marunweem Lake is among the most content-rich Regions of Hogwarts Legacy. If you take your time exploring this mysterious area, the game will reward you with some of the rarest gear. For instance, you can find 11 Treasure Vaults around the area.
However, most of these vaults have one or two puzzles attached to them. Solving these puzzles requires adequate knowledge of the game mechanics. Moreover, the chess puzzle can really take on your nerves if you don’t know the checkmate’s moves.
Therefore, this article explains how to find and unlock all Treasure Vaults in Marunweem Lake.
All Treasure Vaults in Marunweem Lake:
The 11 Treasure Vaults in Marunweem Lake are scattered evenly around the Region. So, you can either solve them by moving back and forth between the Floo Flames or go for all of them in one go.
I think the best way to loot these treasures is to empty out your gear slot and complete the entire Region in one go.
So, here’s what you ought to know about all Treasure Vaults in Marunweem Lake:
- Marunweem Bridge Treasure Vault
The first Treasure Vault is located on the northern border of the Region. So, the best route is to start at the Marunweem Bridge Floo Flame and go northeast on your Broom across the lake, as shown in the picture:
This Treasure Vault won’t be much of a problem if you know the Depulso spell. Simply stand at the vault’s entrance and cast Depulso to remove the wooden logs.
Next, head inside the vault and go right on the path to find the treasure chest on the right side at the start of the room.
- Tower Tunnel Treasure Vault
The second Treasure Vault is located near the Tower Tunnel Floo Flame. However, if you haven’t activated it yet, you can also access it by flying southeast on your Broom from the Coastal Mine Floo Flame, as shown in the picture:
This vault is slightly more challenging than the previous one. Firstly, the entrance is not directly behind a blockade. So, first, use Bombarda or Confringo to destroy the debris and open the path.
Next, go around the cliff by following the path on the left side to find the vault’s entrance.
The area before the vault’s entrance is a bandit camp filled with a loyalist army. You can easily avoid them by keeping running toward the vault without indulging in any fight.
Next, head inside the Treasure Vault and keep going down until you reach a large room. Here, you will find a rotatable lever in the center of the room. Use Depulso several times while standing behind the lever to move the rocks across the room.
Finally, climb on the ledge and again climb on the chamber above the statue to find the chest.
- Tower Tunnel Treasure Vault
The next Treasure Vault is located even further deep inside the Tower Tunnel. So, the best way to reach it is to go directly from Vault #2. You can find this vault in the location, as shown in the picture:
Start at Vault #2 and go outside the vault. Again, ignore all loyalist enemies and keep going straight until you are outside the camp.
Next, turn right and head up the cliff. From then on, it’s all about climbing to the next vault entrance. You can set a waypoint on the map to guide you to the vault’s entrance.
Moreover, you must defeat a Dark Mongrel before you can enter the vault.
Finally, enter the vault and go all the way to the small room at the end to find the treasure chest.
- Coastal Mine Treasure Vault
The next Treasure Vault is located right across the Coastal Mine Floo Flame. Start at the Flame and go south along the coast to find the vault, as shown in the picture:
You will need Accio to solve this vault puzzle. Simply go inside the vault and keep going downstairs until you reach a large room.
Next, use Revelio to locate four lever switches on the wall. Use Accio to pull the highlighted levers to open a door on the right side.
Finally, go inside the new room to find the treasure chest.
- Marunweem Lake Treasure Vault
This next Treasure Vault is located near the Marunweem Lake Floo Flame.
Start at the Flame and go northeast toward the Giant Purple Toad Beast den to find the vault, as shown in the picture:
You must jump into the lake and swim toward the whirlpool to reach the vault’s entrance. Next, hold the X button to dive to the other side of the whirlpool.
Once you reach the other side, turn left and go toward the bones. Turn right after the bones and go around the cliff, jump into the water, and swim toward the land.
Next, turn around and use Accio to pull the lever and open the vault’s door.
Finally, go inside the vault, ignore all enemies, and go across the wooden bridge to find the treasure chest.
- Marunweem Lake Treasure Vault
This next Treasure Vault is located just before the Floo Flame. You can find it by casting Revelio from your Broom or by going to the marked location, as shown in the picture:
Once you find the vault’s entrance, the rest of the trip won’t be a challenge. Simply go inside the vault and keep going down until you reach a large room.
Here, use Revelio to find the treasure chest on your right side.
- Marunweem Lake:
This vault is located adjacent to Vault #6. You can easily find it by going around the cliff near the Marunweem Lake Floo Flame, as shown in the picture:
Use Revelio while standing at the vault’s entrance to find the pressure plate.
Next, turn around, go down the cliff, turn right, and follow the path to find the stone cube inside a camp. The cube is locked in a level 3 cage, so make sure you have the required level of Alohomora.
After freeing the cube, use Wingardium Leviosa to lift the cube and guide it back to the pressure plate. The cube has a snowflake symbol so that the Glacius spell will open the vault’s entrance.
Once you enter the vault, keep going down until you reach a large room. Here, you will find an unsolved chess puzzle. Use Revelio to locate a table at the end of the room.
Next, use the Transformation spell to turn it into a chess piece. Next, you must solve the puzzle by getting a checkmate in one move.
If you get a knight, then place it on the third column of the second row (use Wingardium Leviosa) to solve the chess puzzle.
- Marunweem:
This next Treasure Vault is located near the Marunweem Floo Flame. Start at the Flame and move southwest along the coast toward the Diricawl den to find the vault, as shown in the picture:
To open this vault, you must use the same strategy as opening an Eye Chest. Simply get away from the vault and use the Disillusionment spell to become invisible.
Next, press the X button toward the vault to open the door.
Once you are inside the vault, go all the way down to the room at the end. Finally, use Revelio to find the chest near the Inferius enemy.
- Marunweem Ruins Treasure Vault
The next Treasure Vault is located west of the Marunweem Floo Flame.
Alternatively, you can also find it by activating the Marunweem Ruins Floo Flame, as shown in the picture:
Solving this Vault puzzle is not big of a challenge, especially for experienced players. Simply use Confringo or Bombarda to blow away the vault’s entrance.
Next, turn right to loot the first treasure chest in this vault.
Don’t go back just yet. Instead, head further deep into the vault to find a second treasure chest on the right side at the end of the path.
- Marunweem Ruins:
This Treasure Vault is located very close to Vault #9. Simply start at the Marunweem Ruins Floo Flame, get on your Broom, and use Revelio to find this vault in the marked location, as shown in the picture:
Head downstairs on the underground staircase until you reach a level 2 door. Simply unlock the door with Alohomora (you must upgrade it first by giving Demiguise Moons to Gladwin).
Next, head inside the door and turn left to find the treasure chest.
- Marunweem Ruins:
The last Treasure Vault in the Region is located on the other side of the Marunweem Ruins coast.
Again, you can either find it with Revelio on your Broom or by heading to the location, as shown in the picture:
This Treasure Vault is located beneath a whirlpool in the lake. So, you must jump into the water, swim to the whirlpool, and hole the X button to dive to the other side.
Once you reach the other side of the whirlpool, turn left and go toward the lights. Next, climb on the rocks on the right side and use Revelio to find a lever.
You can easily pull the lever with Accio to open the vault’s entrance.
Finally, swim inside the door and go straight to find two chests on the small piece of land (Revelio may come in handy).
