Most Treasure Vaults in Hogwarts Legacy are easy to unlock, given you know the general solutions. However, sometimes, the game teases you by leading you to a puzzle that seems impossible to solve. The puzzles in Poidsear Coast belong to the latter type of puzzles.
There are 7 Treasure Vaults on Poidsear Coast. Most of them are easy to solve, except for a few (they will get on your nerves). Fortunately, you don’t have to worry as this article will guide you in your every step.
All Treasure Vaults in Poidsear Coast:
The 7 Treasure Vaults in Poidsear Coast are located very close to each other. So, naturally, you will consider looting all of them in one go.
Therefore, it would be best to empty out your gear slots prior to heading to the area. Secondly, make sure you have already learned the basic spells like Glacius, Alohomora (level 2-3), Wingardium Leviosa, Accio, etc.
So, let’s get started on unlocking all Treasure Vaults in Poidsear Coast:
- Poidsear Castle Treasure Vault
The first Treasure Vault is located near the Poidsear Castle Floo Flame.
Start at the Flame and go southwest along the path to find the vault, west from Spider Lair, as shown in the picture:
You won’t find any resistance in this Treasure Vault. So, the biggest challenge is to find the vault’s entrance.
Next, head downstairs inside the vault and keep going until you reach a small room.
Finally, turn right and enter the second room to find the treasure chest.
- Poidsear Castle Treasure Vault
For the next Treasure Vault, either head back to the Poidsear Castle Floo or start at vault #1.
Next, go along the path in the southwest direction to find the vault near the cliffs, as shown in the picture:
This Treasure Vault can’t be unlocked unless you learn Alohomora level 3 by returning 13 Demiguise to Gladwin Moon.
Next, cast Revelio while standing at the vault’s entrance to locate the pressure plate. You can find the stone cube by turning around and going toward the camp. Here, the cube is locked behind a level 3 door (use Alohomora to free it).
Guide the cube to the pressure plate with Wingardium Leviosa and hit it with Incendio to open the vault’s entrance.
Finally, go inside the vault and turn left inside the room to find the chest.
- Mongrel Lair Treasure Vault
The next Treasure Vault is located right across the river from Vault #2. You can find it by going southeast from the previous vault toward the Mongrel Lair.
Alternatively, you can also reach this vault by going south from the Poidsear Castle Floo Flame, as shown in the picture:
The first challenge is to find a way to enter the Treasure Vault. You can easily open the vault by unlocking the level 2 door with Alohomora.
Next, go all the way to the end room and use Revelio to find the 3 moveable walls. Here, you will also find 2 Inferius waiting to ambush you.
Once you defeat the enemies, head to the moveable wall, left from the door, to find the treasure chest.
- Marunweem Bridge Treasure Vault
The next Treasure Vault is accessible from multiple locations. Firstly, you can find it by going northeast on your Broom from the Marunweem Bridge Floo Flame.
Alternatively, you can also reach it by going southwest from the Phoenix Mountain Cave Floo Flame, as shown in the picture:
Use Revelio to reveal the pressure plate at the vault’s entrance. You can find the stone cube by heading down the cliff near the stone pillars.
Next, use Wingardium Leviosa to guide the cube back to the pressure plate. The cube has a snowflake symbol, so the Glacius spell will open the door for you.
Once you head inside the vault, keep going until you reach a large room. Here, you must solve a Depulso puzzle to loot the treasure chest.
First, use Revelio to locate a moveable lever in the center of the room. Next, hit with lever with Depulso several times until the stone bridge moves across the room.
Finally, climb on the stone platform and again climb the ledge above the statue to find the chest.
- Marunweem Bridge Treasure Vault
The next Treasure Vault in the region is located near Vault #4.
You can also access it by going west from the Marunweem Bridge Floo Flame, as shown in the picture:
Before you can access this vault, you must learn Alohomora level 3 from Gladwin Moon. Next, proceed on the underground stairs until you reach a level 3 locked door.
Unlock the door with Alohomora and go all the way to the room at the end of the path. You will find the treasure chest right before the statue in the room.
- Phoenix Mountain Cave Treasure Vault
You can find this Treasure Vault on the road across the Phoenix Mountain Cave. Simply head south from the Phoenix Mountain Cave Floo Flame to find this vault, as shown in the picture:
You can enter this vault by unlocking the level 1 door with the Alohomora spell.
Next, go all the way to the end of the path until you reach a small room. So, the first puzzle won’t be a problem if you have completed Gladwin’s first quest.
When you are in the room, head to the broken wall in the top right corner of the room to find a leaf tornado. Walk in the tornado to initiate the puzzle.
Next, search for the leaf tornado in all 4 corners of the room (inside the broken wall chambers).
You must catch the leaf tornado 5 times to drop the treasure chest.
- Phoenix Mountain Cave Treasure Vault
For the final Treasure Vault in Poidsear Coast, head back to the Phoenix Mountain Cave Floo Flame. Next, fly on your Broom across the river in the east to reach this vault, as shown in the picture:
The first puzzle that you must solve to enter the vault is a simple one. Simply find the 2 rotating levers and use Depulso 8 or 9 times to lock the first lever.
Next, aim at the second lever on the right side and repeat the process till it locks in place to open the door.
The second puzzle requires you to checkmate the opponent in a simple chess game. However, it isn’t as difficult as it sounds because you only need to make 1 correct move.
Once you reach the large room at the end of the vault, use Revelio to find a chair on the left side. Next, use the Transformation spell on the chair to turn it into a chess piece.
Finally, use Wingardium Leviosa to lift the piece and place it on the third column and second row from the right (near the opponent’s chess piece), as shown in the picture. Doing so will checkmate the opponent, solve the chess puzzle, and drop a treasure chest near the tomb.
Conclusion:
The Treasure Vaults in Poidsear Coast aren’t as difficult as Hogwarts Valley. However, you will need the right set of skills and some knowledge about solving the vault puzzles. The chess puzzle in the last vault is the hardest of them all.
However, with this guide, solving all Treasure Vaults in Poidsear Coast won’t be much of a problem for you.
