Where is the House of the Grief in Baldur’s Gate 3
House of the Grief is the place where you will meet with Sharrans and Viconia DeVir. Upon interacting with them, a fight will be started, and you have to finish off the battle against the Sharrans. Then you can decide to spare the life of Viconia DeVir or kill her.
Entering the House of the Grief
The House of the Grief is located on the Northwestern side of Lower City in Baldur’s Gate. Keep moving on the west side then through the Baldur’s Gate Waypoint and into the entrance of the Upper City.
There you will see a small bridge, cross that bridge, and enter the building which is on the west of Arves. Enter the building and you will meet with an elf. After interacting with Elf, you will be able to enter into the backroom.
In this room, you can see a bench. Sit on the bench, but before that make sure that Shadowheart is in your party. Now, an Inquirer of Grief will appear. After the conversation ends with the Inquirer, doors will be opened that lead to the next room.
Meeting Viconia
Enter through the door and reach the bottom of the stairs. Here, you will meet Viconia DeVir on the other side of the huge door. Now, the interaction with Viconia will be different based on the Shadowheart’s previously chosen options.
After having a conversation with Viconia, you will have to fight with her and the sharrans. This fight will be quite difficult and you should have proper spells with you.
Defeating Viconia DeVir
Defeating Viconia will be a challenging phase of this battle. However, the sharrans are quite easily defeated once Viconia is dead. For this fight, you should use a spellcaster that has spells with large-area attacks.
Attacks such as Fireball, Chain Lightning, Cone of Cold, Thunderwave, and Shatter are all useful in this fight. Viconia has the ability to reflect radiant damage so avoid using it in this battle.
When the battle begins, spread out your party members, especially keep them away from the danger zone. You should mainly focus on sharrans instead of Viconia at first.
The best strategy you can use to win this long fight is to spread your party as much as you can, use Radiant Damage on sharrans instead of Viconia, use area attacks, and target enemies who are using Darkness spells.
