Best Ark Dino Stats

Dinos in Ark become the best version of themselves when they have the best stats. Higher stats means they are more powerful and have more stamina to sprint for longer periods without stopping. And that’s not only it, with greater stats their attacking ability increases and they can do more damage.

In this guide, we are mainly focusing on the best Ark dino stats and how you can change them from settings. Yes, it is possible to change the base dino stats from settings. These settings can be changed for the wild dinos as well as the tamed ones. By changing these stats, you will be able to play with the dino stats such as damage, oxygen, stamina, health, food, and others. This allows you to customize the dino difficulty in the wild as per your play style.

Best Ark Dino Stats PVE

The first thing as soon as you begin your journey in Ark, you interact with your surroundings. You have wild dinos, trees, bushes, and lots of other things to interact with.

Later on, when you catch some dinos. The first thing you do is hunt down other dinos to obtain items and level up your creatures. Not only that, but you also have to collect tons of other useful items from bushes, underwater, trees, and other stuff.

So, mainly you should be focusing on the stats that are of best use when you are interacting with the environment. Here are what dino stats are best for PVE.

  • Stamina
  • Oxygen
  • Food
  • Weight

These four stats must be kept under consideration when you are looking for a PVE. Generally, when you are out there in wild, the dino must have enough food and stamina levels that it can go on long journeys without exhausting any of these stats.

Titanosaur has the best stamina and weight levels. It has 2000 stamina points and 50000 weight points. Whereas Electrophorus has the highest oxygen level with 1050 points and Diplodocus has the highest food level with 10000 points.

Now, when you level up and you have built up your base. It’s time to raid the bases of other players. In PVP, you are doing combats and battles with your enemies. They can use their weapons and higher-level dinos to protect themselves.

For PVP battles you need to focus on dinos that have the following best stats.

  • Health
  • Base Damage
  • Movement Speed

Whenever you are in a battle, be it the wild dino or some other player, you need to have a dino on you that has the best base damage points and health.

Moreover, your dino should have a great movement speed. This way you can easily take down your opponent. Here are the dinos that have the best health, base damage, and movement speed.

Titanosaur has the best health and base damage levels. It has a health level of 230000 points and base damage of 1000 points. These are extremely high levels that you won’t find in any other dino. Now, coming to movement speed, for this stat the only best dino is Giganotosaurus

By the way, these stats are just the base stats. They get increased when your dino levels up. So, even the strong dinos become more powerful when they are leveled up.

Changing Dino Stats

Changing Dino Stats

Ark lets you play with the dino stats which can be changed from settings. With this freedom of changing the stats, you can entirely change each stat whether it’s for the wild ones or the tamed ones.

If you are looking for a challenging game then you can alter the stats for the wild dinos. Once you change the stats, they will be applied to all the wild dinos in the game.

In the settings, you will have to go to the advanced options, there when you scroll down you will see Wild Dino Stats Per Level. Here you can increase or decrease the stats for the wild dinos. For a challenging game environment, you can increase the following stats to 2.0.

  • Health
  • Stamina
  • Torpidity
  • Damage
  • Speed

The other stats can be left unchanged. Increasing the values by more than 2.0 will make the game way more difficult. So, don’t go for the stats level higher than 2.0.

Moving on, we can also change the stats for tamed dinos. By doing so, the dinos on your team will become stronger and will be able to take down the opponents easily. Not only that, but the dinos will be at great moving speed and health levels.

Stats for tamed dinos can be found right below the stats for wild dinos. These will include health, stamina, torpidity, oxygen, food, water, temp, weight, damage, speed, and temp fort. You can increase any or all of these based on your preference.

Personally, I like to keep health, stamina, speed, and damage at 3.0. This makes my dinos a lot stronger for PVP and PVE.
