The Island
The Island is the best map that you can try, it’s a map that contains all the terrains in it. You can find volcanoes, snow mountains, jungles, and even the ocean in it. If we talk about the creatures then there is no exception to it.
The island is home to many creatures, including powerful flyers. The mighty Wyvern can be found here as well. This map has two weather conditions, the first one is rainy and the second one is foggy.
The map is huge enough that you can spawn at any of the 12 spawn points, each one is located in different zones.
Scorched Earth
Now we have Scorched Earth, another popular map in Ark. This was released during the early days of Ark. Scorched Earth is completely opposite to The Island. It is based on the desert biome, making it a strategic map.

You will be able to explore regions on this map such as Snow Dome, Desert Dome, Sulfur Fields, and Wasteland. Also, now you can farm crystals including Blue Crystalized Sap and Silicate. There is a special feature available on this map that makes corrupted creatures. Extinction has 98 creatures out of which 15 are unique creatures. Additionally, 20 new creatures spawn during the event period.
