Best Blood Incantations Elden Ring

Elden Ring allows players to take down their targets in a variety of ways. While the primary way of taking down enemies is by using different weapons, you are also allowed to use magic. Magic can help both inside and outside of combat. In combat, it lets you use powerful spells, such as Incantations. And today, we will be discussing the best Blood Incantations in Elden Ring.

Incantations in Elden Ring come in different shapes and sizes, but all of them are here to assist you in combat. As for Blood Incantations, there are only four of them available in the game. However, while their number might be few, they happen to be some of the strongest Incantations in Elden Ring. They can be acquired through different methods, and we’ll talk about this as well.

Best Blood Incantations in Elden Ring

While all four Blood Incantations are useful, some are better than others. It is important to learn about each one so that you know which one will suit your playstyle the best. So without any further due, let’s take a look at the best Blood Incantations in Elden Ring.

Bloodflame Blade

First, we have the Bloodflame Blade Incantation. If you have this Incantation equipped on your weapon, you can deal blood loss damage with each hit. Furthermore, as you might have guessed already from its name, the Incantation also provides a fire buff to the weapon. In other words, not only will you be able to inflict blood loss on your enemy with it but also deal fire damage.

To use the Bloodflame Blade Incantation, you will need 12 Faith and 10 Arcane. Furthermore, the effect of the Incantation will last for 60 seconds, and it will use 10 Stamina.

To get the Bloodflame Blade Incantation in Elden Ring, you will need to go to Rose Church. This church can be found in Limgrave, south of the Raya Lucaria Academy. When you arrive at the church, you need to go to its northwest corner. Therefore, you will need to look around for a Teardrop Scarab and kill it before it disappears. The Teardrop Scarab will drop the Bloodflame Blade Incantation when you eliminate it.

Bloodflame Talons

Next on our list, we have the Bloodflame Talons Incantation. This is yet another Blood Incantation that can help you build blood loss. However, unlike the Incantation mentioned earlier which requires you to hit the enemy with the weapon directly, this one explodes and hits everyone inside the radius.

When used, your character will perform a swipe in the air, after which an explosion will take place. The Incantation will deal blood loss damage to everyone who gets caught inside the explosion. The best part about it is that you can use the Incantation repeatedly. Furthermore, you can trust it against a group of enemies.

The Bloodflame Talons Incantations is perfect to use against slow enemies. This is mainly because it can take a few seconds for the explosion to take place. If you try to use it against enemies that are quick, you might not be able to hit them with it.

To use the Bloodflame Talons Incantation, you will need 13 Faith and 15 Arcane. Furthermore, it will cost you 21 Stamina to use it. Overall, it is one of the best Blood Incantations in Elden Ring, but it still lacks some stuff to be the top one.

For the Bloodflame Talons, you won’t don’t have to worry about hunting down a Teardrop Scarab. Instead, you need to go and defeat a boss named Mohg, the Omen. While this is an optional boss, and you don’t need to defeat it to progress through the game’s story, you will need to kill him if you want the Bloodflame Talons Incantation. The boss can be found in Leyndell, at the Subterranean Shunning Grounds.

Swarm of Flies

As its name suggests, the Swarm of Flies Incantation will let you send a swarm of flies toward your target. These flies will damage everyone in their sight and cause blood loss. Just like the Incantation mentioned above, this one also does not require you to hit your target directly with the weapon as you can cast it in the air.

The Swarm of Flies Incantation can be extremely useful against a group of enemies. It can even help you tackle powerful bosses, no matter how quick they are. Unlike most of the other Incantations in the game, you can use this one while crouched. Furthermore, you will be able to remain in the crouched state even after it has been used.

Blood Incantations in Elden Ring - Swarm of Flies

To use this Blood Incantation, you need 11 Faith and 16 Arcane. This might have made its way to the top of our list, but the developers nerfed it in Patch 1.04. Otherwise, it was easily the most powerful Incantation in its category. And for those wondering, its Stamina cost is 24.

The Swarm of Flies Incantation can be found in the Mohgwn Palace. To get here, you will first need to reach the Mountaintops of the Giants. But if you are still far away from accessing this area, you can complete White Mask Varre’s questline to get the Pureblood Knight’s Medal. This is the very questline where you are required to find Maiden’s Blood.

After you acquire the medal, you can use it to teleport to the Mohgwn Palace. Once there, head north of the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace and look for a cave. The Incantation can be picked up from a corpse inside this cave.

Bloodboon

Finally, we have Bloodboon. This is easily the best Blood Incantation in Elden Ring because of how powerful it is. This one is quick to cast compared to the other Blood Incantations on our list. In other words, you use it against both quick and slow enemies.

The Bloodboon Incantation lets you create blood flame in front of you, which deals damage and causes blood loss to anyone who gets caught inside it. It covers a wide area and can help you target multiple enemies at once. Its quick cast time can let you easily handle mobs that are trying to get close to you.

Bloodboon

To use the Bloodboon Incantation, you need 14 Faith and 17 Arcane. Furthermore, it will cost you 34 Stamina to use it. As you can see for yourself, its requirements are higher than all the other Blood Incantations in the game.

To get the Bloodboon Incantation in Elden Ring, you will need to defeat Mohg, Lord of Blood. This boss can be found at the Mohgwyn Palace, and he is extremely powerful. Even though he is an optional boss, the developers made him brutal in combat. After defeating this boss, you will be rewarded with 420,000 Runes and the Remembrance of the Blood Lord. You can then take this item to Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold and trade it for the Bloodboon Incantation.

Final Words

These were some of the best Blood Incantations in Elden Ring. We will make sure to update the list when the developers add new ones to the game.
