In Elden Ring, all Tarnished have to make a vital choice between Intelligence and Faith, between Spells and Incantations. Though Intelligence spells might be easier to use and can leave a huge mark on enemies, Faith incantations objectively look and feel better.
What can be cooler than bringing lightning down from the heavens and blowing your enemies to bits with great fire attacks? Nothing. So here are the best faith spells in Elden Ring that you can use to feel like a demigod in the Lands Between, in no particular order.
We don’t necessarily recommend you use all of these spells together for a build, we just listed the most powerful and useful Faith incantations in Elden Ring.

Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Strike
Elden Ring has an incantation called Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Strike and it is probably the best one out of all the Dragon Cult spells. The red lightning from the Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Strike spell strikes the ground around the player, with more and more lightning bolts appearing in succession and advancing toward the enemy.
The game describes the spell as an old dragon cult incantation from the capital. It summons a crimson lightning bolt that scatters and spreads over the vicinity. The lightning bolt’s range is increased by charging. Legend has it that the ancient dragon’s weapon was crimson lightning.
This spell’s users don’t fully appreciate the power of this spell until they realize that it could be used to easily destroy enormous bosses like the Fire Giant, Dragonlord Placidusax, Elden Beast, Magma Wyrms, etc. It can also be used to launch a potent but dangerous attack after a boss executes a move with a wide punishment window, similar to a charged attack. This is most effective against medium-sized humanoid foes like Godfrey and Radagon since you have a very good chance of hitting them with at least one or maybe two bolts.
People also seriously underestimate this spell’s range in PvP. They usually just stand about outside of what they perceive to be the effective range for this, only to take 1k damage. The hitbox of the bolt is significantly larger than you may anticipate.
Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Strike Location in Elden Ring
To find this amazingly badass incantation, you need to purchase it from Brother Corhyn or Miriel, Pastor of Vows for 10,000 Runes after presenting the Ancient Dragon Prayerbook. This unique prayer book can be found at Crumbling Farum Azula. It is located on the ground floor of the sizable structure in the middle of the area near the Crumbling Beast Grave Depths Site of Grace.
Unendurable Frenzy
Elden Ring features a Faith spell called Unendurable Frenzy, which stands out from Frenzied Flame incantations. The spell Unbearable Fury causes your eyes to erupt violently in yellow flames of frenzy. The game describes it as an incantation that causes the caster’s eyes to violently erupt in a golden flame of fury. It was created as a result of individuals who were affected by the flame of frenzy’s excruciating anguish and uncontrollable weeping.
When casting this spell, the user possesses considerable stagger resistance, making it able to trade blows with smaller foes rather effectively. Attacks against smaller, high health adversaries are slightly less effective because of the attack’s vast range. By free-aiming the camera slightly lower than it would be aiming at a locked-on target, this may be minimized. In place of the usual upward arc, the bullets will be launched directly into the target as a result.
If the spell is channeled for a longer period of time, madness damage keeps increasing. The spell will be terminated if the lunacy meter is fully filled, which reduces its potency when combined with the Cerulean Crystal Tear and/or Cerulean Hidden Tear. This makes it the best spell for causing madness in the user, making it easier to successfully cause the Black Dumpling effect.
However, using the spell just once to cause madness requires a significant FP expenditure or poor focus. The use of Cerulean Hidden Tear can reduce the FP investment. When the spell expires (either willingly or by exhausting all remaining FP), if madness is not triggered by it, it will launch an extra attack that will cause the user to toss back their head and fire missiles at random in a 360-degree radius around them. Even if the user has no FP, this additional assault is applied.
The best Frenzied Flame incantation in the game is without a doubt Unendurable Frenzy. No one who has used this spell can ever claim that Flame of Frenzy does greater damage per hit or more poise damage. If you happen to catch a player doing it, which you will, you will lock them in place till they pass away.
You still get an AOE that is more powerful than Howl of Shabriri even after you run out of FP, but without the boost and debuff. It thereby shields you from melee trades while eliminating your enemy, if they are not already dead. Good luck using any other Frenzy incantation to strike someone. This spell is incredibly trustworthy. The only drawback is that ranged assaults might cause you to animation lock yourself.
Unendurable Frenzy Location in Elden Ring
To find this amazing Faith spell, head over to the Yelough Anix Ruins in the Consecrated Snowfield. It is surrounded by four walls, on the western side of the area. Reachable from the core structure housing the sleeping giant by double leaping with Torrent. You will see a chest in the middle area of the ruins’ underground treasure room.
Pest Threads
One of the best offensive Faith spells in Elden Ring for the following two reasons:
- Incredible damage against powerful foes (ex: dragons, gargoyles, elden beast)
- Excellent tracking while facing mobile foes (ex: birds, runebears, mounted knights, NPC invaders)
Against bigger foes, this spell causes utterly outrageous damage. Dragons and the Elden Beast in particular quickly lose their health bars. At 80 Faith and the Erdtree Seal, you can deal the Elden Beast well over 3000 DPS. It’s pretty much Astel’s Meteorites for the Faith.
It has a pretty unusual mix of being able to pass through opponent hitboxes while still having outstanding tracking. Which I assume is the cause for its enormous damage against giant monsters (while being at most mediocre versus humanoid adversaries).
Each bullet can therefore strike an adversary, traverse its hitbox, turn around, and strike it once more. Additionally, if one of the bosses’ limbs or wings is struck while it is doing this, it will tick for more damage.
Pest Threads Location in Elden Ring
Players can get their hands on the Pest Threads after advancing Millicent’s quest path and providing her with Valkyrie’s Prosthesis. They can buy it from Gowry for 7500 Runes.
Burn, O Flame!
In PvP, this really functions as a sleeper Faith spell for pure casters in Elden Ring. It moves quickly, deals a lot of damage, and throws opponents into the air. Also, temporarily stunning them so that a combination may be initiated. And even if they don’t, it makes people shy away from you.
Despite the fact that Fire Storm/Chaos Storm in DS3 was utterly bad, give this one a go before you pass judgment. The game describes this spell as one of the incantations that use the Fire Giants’ power directly. It creates a number of flame pillars that appear all around the caster. The amount of flame pillars is further increased by charging.
You should usually cast this spell against powerful foes. At 62 FTH, players can inflict 3k+ damage—roughly 40% of their HP every cast—against those annoying Erdtree Avatars and Ulcerated tree spirits. Although the reward is extremely good versus powerful foes, the danger is very considerable.
If you get this off, dragons, tree spirits, and several other huge adversaries will eat dirt. Never use this against trolls or foes that are human size, though. The former is still “too little” and can easily avoid the flame pillars because they are your size.
Burn, O Flame! Location in Elden Ring
To get the Burn, O Flame! Faith spell, players will have to trade the Remembrance of the Fire Giant for the incantation with Enia at the Roundtable Hold. The remembrance is obtained after fighting the Fire Giant at Flame Peak on the Mountaintops of The Giants.
End
All of these incredible spells are really good at defeating bosses, demigods, and even fellow players in PvP. This does not mean that there could be other spells that could fit your playstyle better. It just means that these are the most destructive Faith spells in Elden Ring that you could find to destroy enemies in one shot, with enough luck.
Now that you know and have the best Faith spells (incantations) in Elden Ring, the Lands Between experience is not even close to done. If you want more compelling Elden Ring content, also check out: How To Parry Spells in Elden Ring | Elden Ring: Boss Tier List | How to Upgrade Summons in Elden Ring
