Even the developers of the survival game V Rising were taken aback by its quick surge in popularity. It’s an open-world role-playing game with lots of options for exploration, adventure, building, and cooperative play. The location and fight strategy of one of the game’s more difficult bosses, Foulrot the Soultaker, are described in this guide. It is a great way to advance and get awesome goods. So, are you finally ready to take on the level 62 boss Foulrot the Soultaker? Welcome to the central location where you may discover the Soultaker’s location and hear about the benefits you’ll get for killing him.

Foulrot the Soultaker Location

In the southeast corner of the Cursed Forest, close to the Ancient Village, is where you may encounter V Rising’s Foulrot the Soultaker.

There is an alternative entrance to the west, however, you can also reach him by approaching the hamlet from the main road. You may totally avoid the Skeleton Mages, Skeleton Bishops, and Banshees prowling the Ancient Village if you use the western entrance.

Using the Blood Altar can make this search easier for you if wandering aimlessly in the unsettling Ancient Village isn’t satisfying for you. The Level 62 V Blood Foulrot the Soultaker can be found on the Blood Altar’s roster and is quickly located by hitting the Track button. Finding him in these strange areas will be made much easier thanks to the blood scent in the air.

By consuming Foulrot’s blood, vampires can get:

  • Mist Trance – For up to 1.5 seconds, deflect missile and melee strikes. When an assault is thwarted, the user can turn non-material and teleport to the cursor position. Resets the secondary weapon attack’s cooldown timer
  • Phantom’s Veil, Spectral Dust, Banshee – Recipes

One of the few counterspells available in V Rising is Mist Trance. It effectively transforms you into a ghostly version of yourself that is immobile for 1.5 seconds. During this state, if you move or make an attack, the effect will be reversed. Mist Trance will stop all sorts of harm, including missiles and physical attacks. You will be transported to the position of your cursor when an attack is deflected with this power, which will also reset the cooldown for your Secondary Weapon attack.

You may now also make the Phantom’s Veil, which adds 15 more defenses against sun, garlic, silver, fire, and holy damage. Additionally, it adds 24 extra health. Using the Tailoring Bench with 8 Ghost Yarns and 8 Spectral Dusts, will get you the Phantom’s Veil.

A late-game resource called Spectral Dust is utilized to create expensive objects and constructions like the Eye of Twilight. Using the Grinder with 4 Gem Dust and 40 Ghost Crystals, you can make Spectral Dust.

You may also farm Spectral Dust, Scourgestone, and Grave Dust within your castle by using the Banshee recipe. Summon the same Banshee creatures that can be found wandering the Ancient Villages. To call one Banshee, you will want 8 Gem Dust and 12 Highland Lotuses.

Tips for Beating Foulrot the Soultaker

Beating Foulrot

Since Foulrot the Soultaker is a level 62 boss, you must raise your gear rating to something similar in order to defeat him. You should be cautious around his many spectral magic attacks because he is capable of using them. It’s important to comprehend Foulrot’s combat tactics if you wish to beat him. His primary skills are listed as follows:

Mist TranceBecomes invisible and teleports to the enemy’s location after a few seconds
Undead SummonSummons 3-5 hostile Lesser Banshees
X SliceDashes the enemy and does a cross sword slice

Decide if you want to take the side entrance or rid the hamlet of opponents before battling Foulrot. The former will ensure that you don’t unintentionally draw the attention of the neighborhood gangs, ensuring that just you and Foulrot will be engaged in combat.

Let’s say you choose to use the other entrance. Avoid bringing the battle too near to the middle of the village; you don’t want to unintentionally engage Foulrot and a dozen other foes.

Take out Foulrot’s two Skeleton Mages as one of your initial moves against him. They serve as your artillery support, launching obscene objects at you when Foulrot closes the distance between you. Fortunately, after you eliminate them, they won’t respawn during the battle.

During the initial phase, Foulrot will mostly utilize his two swords, but after his health reaches 75 percent, he will temporarily become immune to damage and call in Lesser Banshees to help him. Any magic with a broad area of effect (AOE) can do wonders here to get rid of these Lesser Banshees so you can remove his immunity.

During his second phase, Foulrot has the ability to teleport and briefly become invisible before attacking you. Dodge away from where he spawns as soon as he starts laughing to avoid his strike and his debuff that weakens you. Once you get him down to around 25% of his health, he will become resistant to calling the smaller Banshees again. Kill him once again, then repeat the slaughter of his Banshees. Then, take his V Blood.

Some spells players can use for this battle are Purgatory, Aftershock, and Ice Nova. You can get Purgatory by defeating Christina the Sun Priestess, which can be defeated in the Dunley Farmlands, and Aftershock by getting Errol the Stonebreakers’ V Blood, in central Darbane Woods.

End

You need to use a good plan to get rid of Foulrot the Soultaker. You must keep an eye out for the Banshees summoned by Foulrot during this combat. They are really weak, but if you get trapped anywhere, they may quickly knock you out. Focusing on the Banshees will allow you to eventually reach Foulrot, but it will take a lot of patience. If you are aware of your surroundings, simply zig-zag around the area while focusing exclusively on Foulrot. Try to trap the Banshees in nooks and crannies or on trees.

You must wait for him to reappear once he goes invisible, then dodge promptly. Keep moving and wait for him to show up. Foulrot should quickly be defeated if you continue to hit him from a distance and time your dodges to coincide with his teleport attack.
