To buy the recipe you will need to make focus potions, you need to visit J. Pippins’s potions. This potion store is in Hogsmeade, right next to a Floo Flame. Making it easy to go back and forth to replenish your stock!

However, if you just need this for the assignment from Professor Sharp, I’d highly recommend just buying the potion for now. It is much cheaper.

How To Make Focus Potions
To make focus potions in Hogwarts Legacy, you will need the following:
- 1 Lacewing Fly
- 1 Fluxweed Stem
- 1 Dugbog Tongue
After you’ve gathered all the required materials, you will need to brew the potion in a potions station. You can use the one in potions class or use your own in the Room of Requirement. It only takes 60 seconds to make a focus potion.
The ingredients are simple enough to come by.
Lacewing flies can be found in bushes that glow. Using Revelio will reveal the bushes that have lacewing flies in them without you having to check every bush manually.
Fluxweed stems can be grown in the Room of Requirement if you’ve purchased fluxweed seeds. Otherwise, you can find them at The Magic Neep for 150 gold.
Dugbog tongues are found on the bodies of defeated Dugbogs. These enemies can be found in Dugbog Dens around the map. They are somewhat difficult to beat, so be careful. Don’t wander into a high-level Dugbog Den alone!
If you ever end up very very rich, usually from breeding beasts, you can just purchase all the ingredients from The Magic Neep and J. Pippins Potions. Otherwise, you are going to be doing LOTS of farming for ingredients.
