Gem Dust can be very useful in the later stages of V Rising. Using Gem Dust, you can build a Vampire Waygate, which allows you to teleport from Waygate to Waygate anywhere across the map. Since the map of V Rising is very large, it is useful for you to accumulate as much Gem Dust as possible, so that you can construct a number of Waygates across the map. For this reason, I will be sharing the different ways through which you can get Gem Dust in V Rising.

How to Get Gem Dust in V Rising?
You can get Gem Dust by slashing through different rocks containing Gem Stones as you loot across the map. However, much of this hack and slash farming strategy depends on luck. Some rocks may drop Gem Dust while some may not. Instead, there is a better way to farm Gem Stone. However, this method requires a little effort.
The first thing you must do is defeat Lidia the Chaos Archer. By defeating her, you will gain the blueprint for constructing the Devourer. Once constructed, place the Devourer inside your castle. The Devourer functions like a crusher. You put Gems inside of it, and it transforms those Gems into Gem Dust. For instance, putting one crude Sapphire into the Devourer will result in you obtaining four Gem Dust.
Any Gem Stone can be put inside the Devourer to get Gem Dust. Even crude Gems can be used. Therefore, you should stock up on as many Gem Stones as you can. For your benefit, here are some locations on the map where you will find plenty of Gem Stones.
Location of Gem Stones
As you can see, Gem Stones are scattered throughout the map. So, you should not have much trouble farming them. The South-East side of the map, particularly, has Gem Stone in abundance, so if you are ever in a pinch, head there to get your fix of Gem Stones. Collect as many of them as you can and then head back to your castle to put them in the Devourer to obtain Gem Dust.
Benefits of Gem Dust
As mentioned above, Gem Dust enables you to construct a Vampire Waygate which allows you to teleport between the locations where they are placed. The Waygates become incredibly useful as they allow you to quickly travel across the large map and complete quests faster. In addition to the Vampire Waygate, Gem Dust enables you to craft:
Merciless Hunter’s Crossbow | Short range sniping weapon |
Major Explosive Box | Explosive arsenal that can damage many enemies at the same time |
Siege Golem Stone | Summons a Siege Golem to invade enemy castles |
Scrolls | Obtain new recipes and blueprints |
Iron Castle Key | Captures the third level of the castle |
Spectral Dust | Necessary to create other important weapons such as the Phantom Veil |
General’s Soul Reaper | Two handed weapon dealing greater slash damage on the undead |
Conclusion
