Ghost Yarn is one of the more obscure Reagents of V-Rising because of the very few gamers who are able to get their hand on it. The sheer difficulty and steps required to obtain it make it one of the most novel Reagents in the game. It allows you to craft two of the most valuable gear sets towards the end game: Dawnthorn Armor and Bloodmoon gear. To dispel the mystery around Ghost Yarn and to help you get one step closer to obtaining such powerful gear sets, I have curated this detailed guide which will guarantee that you always have Ghost Yarn.

How to get Ghost Yarn?
You can get it either through crafting or through looting. These are the only two ways of getting Ghost Yarn in V-Rising.
Method 1: Crafting Ghost Yarn
Step 1: Defeat Beatrice the Tailor.
Beatrice the Tailor is a level 38 V-Blood boss who resides within the walls of Dawnbreak Village. Once defeated, Beatrice rewards you with two essential items needed to craft: the Loom and Cotton Yarn. Once obtained place and construct the Loom somewhere inside your Castle.
Step 2: Defeat Ungora the Spider.
Ungora the Spider is a level 60 V-Blood boss who lives in one of the caves in the Spider Cave area of the Cursed Forest. Finding her location is tricky and defeating her is trickier so you should be fully prepared. A 60+ level gear is mandatory if you wish to survive her and her horde of attacking children. However, defeating Ungora will give you great rewards including the recipe for crafting and also the power of Volatile Arachnid, which allows you to bring forth an army of spiders.
Step 3: Collect Ghost Shroom and Cotton Yarn
In order to craft Ghost Yarn, will also need 8 Ghost Shrooms and 4 Cotton Yarn. However, both of these are fairly common items in the game and I expect that you will already have some lying spare in your inventory. But if you don’t, head to the Cursed Village where there is an abundance of both materials.
Step 4: Bring them all together
After completing all these steps, head to the Loom that you have placed in your Castle. Combine the recipe taken from Ungora with the 8 Ghost Shrooms and 4 Cotton Yarn into the Loom and begin the crafting process. After about three minutes, you will successfully have Ghost Yarn in your possession.
Method 2: Farming Ghost Yarn
- Instead of going about the long route of crafting, you can instead focus on hacking and slashing your way until you obtain it. This strategy is simple; head to the Ancient Villages in the East and West of the Cursed Forest and kill, loot, slay, and slash everything that is in your way, especially looting inside the houses. The area between the two Ancient Villages is large which means that once you are done rampaging through the East Ancient Village, the enemies, and loot in the West Ancient Village will have respawned. Therefore, you can infinitely continue this hack and slash process.
- The problem is that there is no guarantee of acquiring Ghost Yarn through this method. If you’re having a lucky day, you will have loads of Yarn from just one village but if you’re unlucky, you may get nothing even if you have been traversing between the villages for hours.
Best Method for Farming Ghost Yarn?
In my opinion, the best method is Method 1: Crafting. Through this method, you are guaranteed a permanent solution to your Yarn problems for as long as you play V-Rising. Additionally, you also obtain cool powers, scrolls, and recipes by defeating Beatrice the Tailor and Ungora the Spider which will help you out significantly towards the end-game.
