How to Get Glass in V Rising

In our books, Glass is one of the most important items you can craft in VRising. Glass enables you to make windows in your castle in addition to crafting bottles which help you in quests as you progress through the game. Several steps need to be taken in order to get Glass which I will be explaining in detail in this article.

So, without further ado, let’s craft some Glass.

How to Get Glass?

To craft glass, you must complete these four steps:

  • Build a Furnace inside your castle
  • Defeat Christina the Sun Princess
  • Collect Quartz
  • Craft Glass

Step 1: Build a Furnace

Step 1: Build a Furnace

At this point of the game, I expect that most of you will have already built a Furnace. For those of you who haven’t, a Furnace can be built by using 480 Stone and 60 Copper Ore.

Step 2: Defeat Christina the Sun Princess

Step 2: Defeat Christina the Sun Princess

By defeating Christina the Sun Princess and drinking her blood, you will gain the necessary recipe to craft Glass. Additionally, you will also receive the Holy Resistance Potion, which will come in handy in step 3. Therefore, defeating Christina is a mandatory step. However, she is not a very easy enemy to beat. With her status as a level 44 V Blood Carrier, you must be fully prepared and equipped before facing her. You can usually find her prowling the Dunley Farmlands.

For a complete guide on defeating Christina the Sun Princess, you should read this article (no article available).

Step 3: Collect Quartz

Step 3: Collect Quartz

Quartz is the main raw material needed to craft Glass. Quartz can be found at the Dunley Monastery, Mosswick Village, and Dawnbreak Village. In order to traverse the Dunley Monastery, you must have the Holy Resistance Potion. The potion will allow you to combat the Holy powers of the Monastery and freely move around without losing health. Additionally, I recommend that you use a horse to quick travel across these locations, or if you have defeated Alpha Wolf (https://nerdlodge.com/alpha-wolf-location-in-v-rising/), turn into a wolf to cover more land.

Quartz can be recognized by its pale blue color and its crystal shape. For reference, I have attached an image below curated from Game Guides Channel. Collect as much Quartz as you can and then head back to your castle.

Step 4: Craft Glass

Step 4: Craft Glass

Once inside your castle, head to the Furnace to melt the Quartz you have collected. It will take 20 Quartz to craft 1 Glass. You can use the crafted Glass to make windows that will enable you to view the world outside your castle clearly so no one can get the jump on you. Additionally, you can also use Glass to make Glass Bottles that carry different liquid items during quests. You can also use Glass to make your castle look more beautiful and stand out from other players.

END

By completing all four steps, you can easily craft loads of Glass that will not only help you progress towards the end game but also increase your standing amongst fellow VRising players.
