Highland Lotus becomes an essential item towards the end of V-Rising because it allows you to craft several powerful weapons, such as the Bloodmoon set, to defeat the highest tier of V-Blood bosses. However, getting your hands on Highland Lotus can be significantly difficult. This is why I will explain the different ways through which you can acquire Highland Lotus.
Method 1: Explore the Map
The best place to find Highland Lotus as a loot item on the map is the Brighthaven district in Silverlight Hills. Here, you can find the Highland Lotus in chests, crates, containers, and also as loot drops from slain enemies. Be careful though, there are many hostile enemies in the Brighthaven district, and fighting through them can become very difficult if you are not fully prepared.
On the other hand, the best places to find Highland Lotus as natural vegetation are the Harpy Nests of Brighthaven Docks and the one near the Sacred Silver Mine. This place too has a number of different enemies with high combat levels, therefore preparation is necessary. On average, you can expect to gather about 100 Highland Lotus if you farm these two Harpy Nests and live to tell the tale.
Method 2: Farming
Farming is a much more surefire and sustainable way of getting loads of Highland Lotus. However, this method is contingent upon the completion of several mandatory steps:
- Step 1: Gather as much Silver as possible. Silver is a common item that can be found as both enemy loot and also from chests, containers, etc. Because of its commonality, I have seen many intentionally skip looting Silver. You must not do so. Further steps will explain why.
- Step 2: Set up a Garden in your Castle. In order to do so, you must first defeat a 34-level V-Blood Boss, Polora the Feywalker, from whom you will gain the recipe for crafting Garden Floors.
- Step 3: Proceed to Dawnbreak Village to defeat Beatrice the Tailor, a 38-level V-Blood Boss. Defeating Beatrice will give you the ability to transform into a human form which is essential for our next step.
- Step 4: Head to Brighthaven Slums to meet Ottar the Merchant. Ottar only deals with humans, therefore transform into a human when entering his shop. Ottar has several items to trade, one of which is Highland Lotus Seed which he sells for 200 Silvers. Buy as many Highland Lotus Seeds as possible and head towards your Castle.
- Step 5: Plant the Lotus Seeds in your already constructed Castle Garden.
- Step 6: Harvest once the plant has fully grown. Pro tip: when harvesting, use a weapon that has higher Vegetation Damage such as a Slasher or a Sword. Also, use a Worker buff while harvesting to increase yields by almost 30%.

In my opinion, Method 2 i.e., Farming, is the best method of collecting Highland Lotus Seeds. Through this method, you are guaranteed a consistent supply of Highland Lotus flowers forever. However, I do admit that obtaining the Seeds can be time-consuming and requires several steps to complete, what I can tell you is that once you are done, your life towards the endgame will become much easier.
