The ultimate goal of V Rising is to become the greatest vampire of all time. But this is no mean feat. Apart from being terrific at combat elements of the game, you also need to have powerful gear, and technology. With the purpose to help you survive in this dark, dystopian world. And to have access to such technology, Paper, Scrolls, and Schematics in V Rising come in handy.
Paper, Scrolls, and Schematics give you access to different tiers of valuable technology/recipes that help you craft essential gear, weapons, and armor. Unfortunately, finding these three items can become very tedious if you don’t where and how to look for them.
This is the reason why I have decided to make a guide that explains in detail how you can get your hands on loads of Paper, Scrolls, and Schematics in V Rising and what they can do to transform you from the prey to the predator.
Table of Contents
Paper
There are two ways you can get Paper:
Looting Low Tier Bandit Camps and Areas: These Bandit Camps can be found mostly in and around Farbane Woods. The enemies here are relatively easier to kill even without high-level gear and weapons. Once defeated, they commonly drop paper which you can loot. Additionally, their base may have chests and boxes that contain paper.
You can also commonly find Paper in random chests, houses, villages, and other interactable containers throughout the map.
Crafting using a Paper Press: The recipe for a Paper Press can be found anywhere across the map. But, more commonly, in Dunley Farmlands. Most people usually find the recipe pretty early in the game, since finding the recipe is based more on luck than skill. Once the recipe is found, the next step is to unlock the Study inside your Castle. Because the Paper Press can only be placed inside the Study.
In order to unlock the Study, you must defeat, Nicholaus the Fallen, a level 37 V-Blood boss, who roams the Farbane Woods. Defeating him will be a little tricky. We recommend that you should be at Level 37 before approaching this fight.
After defeating him, you will have unlocked the Study in which you can place the Paper Press. Place 4 Plant Fibers and 12 Sawdust inside the Paper Press to craft 1 Paper. Once you have 50 Paper, you will be able to discover a random Tier 1Technology.
Scrolls
Scrolls can also be curated in two ways:
Looting Mid-Tier Bandit Camps and Areas
These Bandit Camps can be mostly found in and around the Dunley Farmlands. The enemies here are much harder to kill in comparison to the low-tier bandits of Farbane Woods. We recommend that you be adequately prepared before setting out to ambush different Bandit Camps for Scrolls. Also, the chance of these bandits dropping Scrolls is also less when compared to the drop rate of Paper.
Additionally, you can also find Scrolls in random chests, houses, villages, and other interactable containers throughout the map. However, these places might not be as easy to access as those that contain Paper.
Crafting using a Paper Press: Here too, a Paper Press is required to craft Scrolls. However, first, you will need to find the recipe for crafting Scrolls.
The recipe for crafting Scrolls can be found by defeating Frostmaw the Mountain Terror, a level 56 V-Blood boss, who resides at the Hallowed Mountains. Once he is defeated and the recipe is obtained, you will need 12 Gem Dust and 4 Paper to craft Scrolls.
While Paper is common, Gem Dust can become significantly difficult to find in-game. Luckily, our guide explains in great detail how and where you can get your inventory stuffed with Gem Dust.
Once you have 75 Scrolls, you will be able to discover a random Tier 2 Technology.
Schematics
Finally, Schematics is also found in two primary ways:
Looting High Tier Bandit Camps and Areas: These Bandit Camps are most commonly found in the Silverlight Hills. You can expect the enemies here to be significantly difficult to deal with and if you are not fully prepared, your death is very likely.
While it is entirely possible to find Schematics in the random chests and loot boxes, the chance of that happening often is very rare.
Crafting using a Paper Press: The recipe for crafting Schematics is found by fighting and slaying Matka the Curse Weaver, who is a terrifyingly high-level 72 late-game V-Blood boss. She moves around in the north of the Cursed Forest area.
After obtaining the recipe after defeating her, head to the Paper Press in your Castle and 24 Silver Ore, 4 Spectral Dust, and 8 Scrolls to craft 1 Schematic.
Once you have 100 Schematics, you will be able to discover a random Tier 3 Technology.
END
Paper, Scrolls, and Schematics in V Rising can prove to be a game-changer in V Rising for they provide you with immediate recipes to gain powerful weapons, gear, and technology. With such upgrades, taking on enemies or other players will be a walk in the park for you.
