What Is Phoenix Ring in Stardew Valley?
Stardew Valley features equipable rings which conjure passive effects and grant passive abilities to players wearing them. They could provide significant support for you in completing tasks, fighting monsters, and clearing dungeon levels.
One of these rings is the Phoenix Ring in Stardew Valley, which does wonders and definitely makes a difference in your progress once you have this in your inventory.
All of the rings in Stardew Valley, of course, the Phoenix ring included, each offer unique benefits for its owner. This goes the same when talking about how to obtain them; some could be acquired through quests, a few are found as rare items, while others could be crafted or purchased. In that regard, how can one get the Phoenix Ring in Stardew Valley?
How to Get Phoenix Ring in Stardew Valley?
The name of the ring itself speaks of legend, something that sounds so rare, you could even wonder if its existence is just a myth. To not let your hopes down, the Phoenix Ring is not a myth, in Stardew Valley, that is. However, actually getting your hands on it could be a little difficult.
Of all the rings existing in Stardew Valley, Phoenix Ring is one of those which you cannot craft or buy from shops. Instead, you can only get it by venturing into the Volcano Dungeon on Ginger Island.
Getting into Volcano Dungeon
Firstly, the Volcano Dungeon is particularly located inside a volcano that exists at the northern end of Ginger Island. On the southern side of the volcano, there is a large cave that serves as the vestibule that leads to the Volcano Dungeon. But before you can completely proceed to the dungeon, you will have to first cross the lava river that would lie before your eyes as you enter the cave.
To successfully cross this river, you got to have a watering can with you. On the left side of the entryway is a pool of water wherein you can fetch water that you will pour into the river. This, in turn, would harden the lava, creating a path for you to cross and enabling you to reach a gate that is the doorway to the first level of the Volcano Dungeon.
Treasure Chests
Once you access the first level of the Volcano Dungeon, what then? Strive through the 9th level of Volcano Dungeon.
As you might have already expected, you would come in contact with a variety of monsters, which, of course, need defeating for you to be able to go to the next level. If you can escape them without fighting might be better, but you can never know what they might be dropping. But you do not have to worry about them randomly dropping the Phoenix Ring.
Phoenix Ring is only found inside chests that spawn on the 9th floor or level of the Volcano Dungeon. There are two kinds of treasure chests that you can find in the dungeon–either a common chest or a rare chest. Along with Cinder Shard, Mermaid Boots, Dragonscale Boots, Golden Coconut, Hot Java Ring, Deluxe Pirate Hat, Ostrich Egg, Dragontooth Cutlass, Dragontooth Club, and Dragontooth Shiv, the Phoenix Ring are inside rare chests.
Uses of Phoenix Ring
Now, you might be wondering already, what is this Phoenix Ring in Stardew Valley for?
For starters, the Phoenix Ring is vibrant yellow, almost orange, color. It could remind you of a phoenix’s fire at its prime. This pigmentation of the Phoenix Ring could be harnessed and used as an ingredient in making a yellow dye.
Moving on to what really is the Phoenix Ring’s capabilities, like how a phoenix rises again from ashes upon its death, you could say that this ring somehow grants you an extra life.
If you are wandering inside a cave or dungeon filled with strong monsters, there is the inevitable possibility of taking too much damage and therefore depleting your health to zero. Once this happens, you will be sent back to your bed, and you may lose items or gold. Your progress in exploring the place would, needless to say, be impeded, too.
With Phoenix Ring equipped, once your health reached 0, you will be instantly revived with half of your maximum health restored. Then there is the fact that you will not lose any item and you can continue with your journey as if nothing happened. However, the reviving power of the Phoenix Ring can only be activated once a day.
Phoenix Ring Combo
It is such a shame that you cannot equip several rings at once. Just imagine how many buffs you would receive if you were allowed to do so. But then, the game won’t be that thrilling if you are too powerful and almost invincible. To somehow make up for it, you can at least combine two rings, hence receiving both the special effects they offer.
On the last level of the Volcano Dungeon, you can find the Forge, where you can put together rings that amount to 20 Cinder Shards. Just a reminder that you can’t combine the same ring, combine three rings, or combine a ring with an already forged ring.
Talking about forging rings with another, here are some of the rings that make a good pair with a Phoenix Ring in Stardew Valley.
Phoenix Ring and Ring of Yoba
As an overview of the Ring of Yoba, this ring has the chance to summon Yoba’s Blessing buff upon taking damage. The blessing buff grants you a shield from enemy damage for a duration of 5 seconds.
Although the immunity would be fleeting, imagine how formidable you could be when it is backed up with a Phoenix Ring in Stardew Valley. If you used the Phoenix Ring’s power, you might also revive Yoba’s Blessing, giving you both a chance to fight again or get away from the swarm of enemies.
Phoenix Ring and Iridium Band
Iridium band itself is a powerful ring, it has the collective ability granted by Glow Ring, Magnet Ring, and The Ruby Ring. Just how strong it will be when forged with a ring that can bring you back alive, with half of your health. You will definitely last for a long while inside the dungeon you are exploring with these two rings combined.
