How to Get Scourgestone in V Rising?

You can get scourge stone in V Rising by farming undead enemies like the skeleton bishop, checking chests in graveyards, or crafting it yourself using whetstone, glass, and grave dust.

Scourgestone in V Rising is an essential item in V Rising, for it allows you to craft Dark Silver Ingots. Dark Silver Ingot is the main ingredient for making Dark Silver Weapons and also for various weapon/gear repairs and upgrades. This makes Scourgestone a valuable item in the world of V Rising. But, as with anything valuable, Scourgestone too is a difficult item to obtain.

This is why I have made this comprehensive guide which explains the four different methods of getting your hands on some Scourgestone.

Method 1: Looting

Scourgestone in V Rising

Scourgestone in V Rising can be primarily found in three areas:

  • Dunley Monastery at Dunley Farmlands
  • Church of the Damned at Dunley Farmlands
  • Both Ancient Villages at the Cursed Forest

Head to these areas where you will find loads of chests that have a chance of dropping Scourgestone. But more than chests, look for graves in these areas. They are more likely to contain big chunks of Scourgestone. One strategy is to target graves only. That way, you increase your chances of getting Scourgestone while also saving time. Once all graves have been checked, head to your Castle to respawn the graves and then begin this cycle of looting again.

Method 2: Killing Special Enemies

Killing Special Enemies

There is a chance of getting Scourgestone by defeating Skeleton Bishops and Scarecrows. These enemies can spawn anywhere around the map so just keep an eye out for them wherever you go. Additionally, at the Church of the Damned, you may come across a Mini-Boss called the Undead Commander who has a significant chance of dropping Scourgestone once defeated.

Method 3: Creating Tombs

Creating Tombs

As mentioned above, Skeleton Bishops have a chance of dropping Scourgestone when killed. What if you had a method of conveniently spawning Skeleton Bishops only to be killed by your hands? Well, a Tomb does exactly that.

A Tomb enables you to bring forth Skeleton Bishops at your will. In order to craft a Tomb, you must defeat Goreswine the Ravager, a 27 Level V-Blood Boss. Once you have killed and obtained the recipe from Goreswine, head back to your Castle and craft your tomb. Now feed 80x Bone and 20x Stone into the Tomb to bring forth one Skeleton Bishop. Kill him, and you will hopefully have gotten Scourgestone.

However, in order to be efficient, I recommend that you at least have 3-4 Tombs working concurrently to produce Skeleton Bishops, making sure that you always have your fill of Scourgestone.

Method 4: Crafting

Crafting scourgestone

To craft Scourgestone, you must first obtain its recipe by defeating Leandra the Shadow Priestess, who is a level 46 V-Blood Boss. Also, she can be found roaming the Church of the Damned at Dunley Farmlands. Defeating her will not be too difficult as long as you are sufficiently geared up. The recipe requires that you use:

  • Whetstone x1
  • Glass x3
  • Grave Dust x3

Put these items in the Furnace inside your Castle and, voila, you will have successfully crafted Scourgestone.

End

I hope this guide successfully helps you in getting Scourgestone. However, you can try and test out all four methods and see which works perfectly for you. Personally, I like Method 1, for it allows me to really quickly secure Scourgestone. For more tips and tricks, be sure to check our expansive guides on everything V Rising here.
