V Rising: How to Get Silkworms

In V Rising, you cannot level up if you are unable to craft items. You will see that after certain levels you will need to fight with different bosses and unlock recipes so that you can craft the required items. However, some items can only be obtained from a specific place on the map. Silkworms in V Rising are one of those. You cannot craft it but get it only from a specific location.

This is mainly an item that is a requirement in the end game. Although, you are not gonna need it if you are at earlier stages of the game. But, collecting it, in the beginning, will help you a lot in the end. So, let’s take a look at how to get Silkworms in V Rising.

Where to Find Silkworms in V Rising?

Silkworms can be found in Spider Cave which is located in Cursed Forest. This cave is full of huge spiders, it is known that they lay their eggs here. You will obviously face dozens of spiders when you visit this place.

The Silkworms can be obtained either by killing the spiders or by destroying their eggs. However, the best way to get Silkworms is by destroying the eggs. It has a better chance of giving off Silkworm. Whereas, it is not obvious that each spider you kill will drop Silkworm. So, you should better go for the eggs from which you can collect a good quantity of Silkworms.

The eggs can be destroyed by slashing them with a weapon or by using your abilities. This is a pretty simple method. Once you destroy them you will see Silkworms spawning from them, now get close to the Silkworms and collect them by an interaction.

While destroying the eggs there is a possibility that the spiders may get spawned instead of Silkworms. So, be ready to fight them as they will attack you. If you encounter bigger spiders, I would suggest you try to kill them, there is a greater chance that they will drop the Silkworms.

Additionally, you can also get some Silk within this cave. As you wander around the cave you will see chests placed beside the walls. Looting them can be a good choice, other than Silk they can get you some additional uncommon items as well.

Once you have collected the required amount of Silkworms, return to your castle and either use it or store it for future use.

Using Silkworm in V Rising

Using Silkworm in V Rising

Silkworm itself doesn’t have much use in the game. But, it can be rather be used to craft a much more useful material which is Silk. In order to craft Silk, you should have already built a Loom at your castle. If you haven’t already built the Loom yet then you can obtain its blueprint by defeating the boss Beatrice the Tailor. You can easily beat her as she doesn’t fight back but instead calls the guards for help.

Once you have built the Loom, you can put in the following ingredients to craft Silk:

  • 4x Silkworm
  • 4x Cloth
  • 8x Highland Lotus

This will give you 1x Silk. Keep in mind that if you haven’t already killed Ungora the Spider Queen then you won’t be able to craft Silk. Only by killing this level 60 boss, you will get access to craft Silk. This boss will also give you the recipe to craft Cloth which is a required ingredient to craft Silk.

Now, that you have crafted Silk it can be used as a material to craft other items. Such as you can craft Bloodmoon Armor Set. Also, it is used to repair the same armor set. Silk is also an essential crafting material for other items as well.

This is it for the Silkworm in V Rising. This guide has covered everything that you need to know about how to get Silkworms. Also, after reading the guide you will be able to find it at the exact location. This will allow you to get yourself prepared as you already know what will be waiting for you in those caves.

Hopefully, as you go through this guide you will become smart enough to make useful items with Silkworm.
