Gear is one of the most important parts of Hogwarts Legacy. It allows you to upgrade your character’s offense and defense, and you can often sell it for gold you’ll need in the early game.
That said, you’ll likely run out of inventory space after just a few quests, considering you only start with 20 slots available. So, the question is, how do you increase your inventory space in Hogwarts Legacy?
How to Increase Inventory Space in Hogwarts Legacy
To increase your inventory space in Hogwarts Legacy, you will need to complete the Merlin Trial challenge. Each tier of this challenge will give you four extra slots for a total of 40 when fully complete.
Merlin Trials can be found all over the map. To see all of them, just go to the world map and zoom out as far as possible. You’ll then be able to hover over each region and see how many Merlin Trials are available.
I highly recommend doing the Irondale trials first, as these are the easiest. Once you start having to do more, go to Hogwarts Valley. This area has 16 trials for you to do, which should get you quite a few of the challenge tiers done.
Here is the amount of Merlin Trials you have to do for each challenge tier:
- Two Merlin Trials = four more slots
- Six Merlin Trials = four more slots
- Ten Merlin Trials = four more slots
- Fourteen Trials = four more slots
- Eighteen Trials = four more slots
Now, keep in mind, like with all other challenges, you have to accept the rewards. You can do this by going into the challenge menu and clicking on the challenge once you’re done with it.
Also, when it says two trials for the first tier and six trials for the next, that doesn’t mean total. You actually need to do eight total to get the second tier done. That’s a lot of trials.
You likely won’t need all the extra slots, but completing the Merlin Trials is often fun! So do as many as you like.
Anyway, that’s how you increase your inventory space in Hogwarts Legacy! Good luck!
