Due to having significantly lower gear score requirements than other Silverlight Hills bosses, Mairwyn the Elementalist is probably going to be the first one you encounter around here in V Rising. But don’t be fooled by this information. If you’re unprepared, she will be really deadly. Mairwyn uses a variety of spells, such as the Crystal Lance, which has the power to halt or stun enemies, and the cyclone, which unleashes a barrage of fireballs, thus turning this encounter into a fiery battle session.
She summons a clone who casts the same spells in addition to that. Of course, all this information is irrelevant if we can’t find her, so here is the location of V Rising’s Mairwyn the Elementalist and how to defeat her.

Mairwyn the Elementalist Location
In the Emberleaf Grove, on the Silverlight Hills’ southern end, is where you may find Mairwyn the Elementalist. The place has two entrances: one from the main road, which is east of the army outpost, and one from the north, which is through the south of the Fortress of the Light. Either way, they both have no effect on the difficulty of the fight, so go with which one strikes your fancy.
Teleporting to the Silverlight Hills Waygate and utilizing either the Wolf Form or a Horse to travel south would be the quickest method to get to the Emberleaf Grove. Players can get the Wolf Form by defeating the Alpha Wolf. Roads are regularly patrolled by Holy Warriors, therefore use caution when using these methods of transportation.
If exploring the creepy Grove aimlessly is not the way you would like to do this, you may simplify your search by using the Blood Altar. The Level 64 V Blood, Mairwyn the Elementalist, may be located and chased by clicking the Track button on the Altar. Finding her in these remote areas of the Silverlight Hills will be considerably easier with the help of the floating blood trail.
Mairwyn the Elementalist Rewards
You will receive the following rewards for defeating Mairwyn the Elementalist:
- Crystal Lance – Fire a projectile that does 150 percent magic damage and chills the target. A chilled adversary is temporarily frozen when struck. On hit, the Crystal Lance shatters into a nova of missiles, each of which delivers 50% magic damage and chills or freezes opponents. Enemy vampires are frozen for 2.5 seconds
- Imperial Thread – Recipe
The Frost spell Crystal Lance is an exact replica of Mairwyn’s early boss battle maneuver. It causes Chill and fires an ice projectile that does 190 percent magic damage. A basic strike will cause an adversary who is chilled to become frozen for 4 seconds. On hit, the Crystal Lance can fragment into a nova of missiles that does 40% magic damage. On vampire opponents, the freezing effect only lasts for about 2.5 seconds.
Using the Loom structure, the Imperial Thread recipe enables the vampires the ability to make these threads. The Bloodmoon Set, the greatest armor set in the game, can only be made using Imperial Threads. To produce one Imperial Thread, you’ll need 12 Snow Flowers, 12 Sunflowers, and 8 Wool Threads.
Tips for Beating Mairwyn the Elementalist
Since Mairwyn the Elementalist is one of the bosses with the greatest DPS in V Rising, defeating her is no simple task. This spell-caster has a variety of tools at her disposal, including chaos spells, hexes, fire and ice magic, and the ability to create an illusionary clone of herself to harm you. Her maneuvers are listed below:
Crystal Lance | Launches an ice projectile that freezes enemies |
Fire Spinner | Leaves a Fire Spinner that sends fire projectiles in a circle |
Arcane Imprisonment | Imprisons closely located enemies and pushes them back |
Double | Creates a Double that deals the same damage as her |
Flaming Ice | Creates an ice shield and a fire behemoth that follows the enemy around, while shooting fire projectiles |
When you are hit with her regular strike, the Crystal Lance’s frost ability will cause you to slow down first and ultimately get frozen in place. This attack transforms into a series of missiles that spread out in front of her in a cone shape when her HP reaches 75%.
One of her best attacks during her initial phase is the Fire Spinner. She summons this atrocity shown in the picture above that blasts flame missiles out in all directions across a wide area.
When she uses the Arcane Imprisonment spell, any enemies in the area are raised in a yellow sphere and transported back a short distance. No harm is done by this ability. She will also amplify her damage output by duplicating a lesser version of herself. This Double is able to deal the same amount of damage as her, but it is not as resistant.
The ultimate power that she will employ during the battle is the Flaming Ice. She would put on an Ice Armor, which would protect her from all external damage but prevent her from casting any other spells. During this time, a Fire Behemoth will follow you while she is frozen and fire projectiles at you five times before moving on to a different area.
The greatest defense against Mairwyn is to attempt to avoid getting struck by her ice spells and to avoid exchanging equal blows with her because she will probably do more damage than you do. Swords are an excellent choice since they let you deal high DPS in those tight spaces when she is exposed.
She can easily be countered by illusionary powers like the Mirror Strike and the Spectral Guardian. When she summons her Fire Spinner, the former is an excellent move to employ because it also renders you immune to damage while dealing with it. You can get this skill by consuming Octavian the Militia Captain’s V Blood.
The two dashes against her that most should use are the Veil of Blood and Veil of Illusion. The latter is great for moving about during a fight while the former may be utilized to heal when you take too much damage. Consider switching out one of your offensive spells for either Mist Trance or Frost Barrier if you feel that you need more defense. These two are fantastic at stopping Mairwyn’s projectile-based assaults.
End
Mairwyn the Elementalist is a mage. She loves to attack you with various elemental projectiles from a distance as a result. These consist of fireballs and other bolts of ice or lightning. Therefore, be ready to perform a lot of dodging once you locate this great enemy. It’s usually ideal if you strike back in kind, focusing mostly on melee combat. Bring some pals with you if you decide to go for range in order to deflect attention from yourself. By using the right equipment and skills, most will be able to take her down in a few tries. Just be prepared for a lot of reties though.
