The Manor Cape region in Hogwarts Legacy has kept many players on the move. The biggest reason is that it is a huge area with considerably little to offer.
For instance, you can only find 7 Collection Chests, 5 Merlin Trials, and some other collectibles, all of which are located far away from each other. So, unless you know the exact coordinates of the items, you will spend countless hours wandering through the open fields.
Therefore, this article provides the locations and solutions of all 5 Merlin Trials in the Manor Cape region.
Merlin Trials in Manor Cape:
The 5 Merlin Trials in the Manor Cape region are evenly spread across the large area. So, you will need the exact locations of the stones unless you want to spend several hours wandering cluelessly.
Here is how to solve all Merlin Trials in the Manor Cape:
Puzzle 1: Lighting the Braziers
The first Merlin Trial in the Manor Cape region is a time trial. The objective of this challenge is to locate the 3 braziers near the Merlin stone and ignite them before any of them extinguish.
The only problem is that the braziers will start descending into the water as soon as you light them up, giving you limited time to find and ignite the others.
You can find this Merlin Trial by traveling southwest from the Bainburgh Hamlet, as shown in the picture:
Initiate the puzzle by using the Mallowsweet Leaves. Next, the Revelio spell reveals all three braziers near the Merlin stone. The first brazier is north of the rock, and the second brazier is under the shrine on top of the cliff in the west.
Finally, the last brazier is near the bridge south of the stone. Once you locate all three braziers, aim at them and use the Confringo spell to ignite them. The best other to light up the braziers is the same as discussed above.
Puzzle 2: Symbol Pillars
The next Merlin challenge in the Manor Cape region is a tricky one. To solve this puzzle, you must locate the three stone pillars near the stone and match the stone cubes on all faces of the pillar.
The pillars have unique shapes on them, and the stone cubes on top of the pillars have similar shapes. To complete the Trial, you must flip the stone cube until the shapes match on all three pillars.
You can find this Merlin Trial in the southeast from the Floo Flame Bainburgh fast travel point, as shown in the picture:
Start the Merlin Trial and head southwest across the land bridge to find the first stone pillar. Go near the pillar and examine its faces to find the mismatched ones.
Next, aim at the stone cube and use the Flipendo spell to flip the stone cube. You must keep flipping the cube till the faces on the cube match the pillar.
The second stone pillar is on the path under the cliff; jump from the northern edge to find it.
Finally, the last stone pillar is further down the hill; jump from the eastern edge to find it on the shore. Alternatively, you can cast the Revelio spell to see all three stone pillars.
Puzzle 3: Giant Stone Ball
The next puzzle is even more tricky than the first two combined. The objective of this Merlin Trial is to find the giant stone ball and bring it to the hole in the ground.
You can lift the ball with Wingardium Leviosa, pull it with Accio, or even push it with the Depulso spell to make it move.
You can find this Merlin Trial on the southwestern shore of Manor Cape, west of the Medium Bandit Camp, as shown in the picture:
Initiate the Trial and use the Revelio spell to locate the giant stone ball at the bottom of the cliff. Next, use your Broom to fly off to the cliff’s edge above the stone.
Aim at the ball while standing on the edge and cast the Wingardium Leviosa spell to bring the ball to the top of the cliff.
The hole is on top of the cliff on the other side. So, again use the Leviosa spell to lift the ball and slowly walk toward the hole to complete this challenge.
Puzzle 4: Moonlight Challenge
The next Merlin Trial in the Manor Cape region is a pretty interesting one. You must find three clusters of Lacewing Flies and bring them to the three Moonlight pillars to complete the challenge.
The flies are attracted to light, so use the Lumos spell to catch them. However, the flies are often hidden in different areas near the Merlin stone.
You can find this Merlin Trial in southern Manor Cape, as shown in the picture:
Start the challenge by using Mallowsweet Leaves on the Merlin stone. Next, jump from the southern edge of the cliff to land on the lower ground.
The first cluster of Lacewing Flies is hidden behind the vines; go near the vines to open them. Approach the flies and cast the Lumos spell to catch them.
Before you return to the Moonlight pillar, head east from the vines below the cliff to find the second cluster of flies; finally, climb on top of the cliff to reach the Moonlight pillars near the Merlin stone.
The third cluster of moths is near the wooden cart on the cliff’s edge. For minimum effort, you can catch all three clusters simultaneously, then go near the Moonlight pillars one by one to activate them.
Puzzle 5: Destroy Stone Pillars
If you completed the first four Trials, this final puzzle wouldn’t be a problem. This challenge aims to find and destroy the 5 stone pillars near the Trial stone.
You can destroy the pillars with either the Confringo or Incendio spell.
You can reach this Merlin Trial by traveling east from Henrietta’s Hideaway on the southern edge of the Manor Cape region, as shown in the picture:
After starting the Trial, use the Revelio spell to locate the stone pillars. The first pillar is in the north of the Merlin stone; you can destroy it while standing on the site. The next stone pillar is on the other side of the ruins; you can reach it by going through the door in the west. The next pillar is on the other side of the cliff; you can access it from the small opening northeast of the stone. The fourth pillar is right behind the previous one. Finally, the last stone pillar is in front of the third pillar.
