Quincey the Bandit King is an important boss to defeat in V Rising that you will need to beat in order to progress the game and acquire more powers or forms. Finding Quincey in V Rising has proven to be quite the challenge so in this guide I will lay out exactly how to find and beat the Bandit King.
The Bandit King is incredibly important as he is the first boss that requires a crafted item to beat (more on that below) and also provides you with your first ultimate of the game!
Quincey the Bandit King Location in V Rising
To find Quincey the Bandit king, you will need to go to the Bandit Stronghold in Farbane Woods. This is where the Bandit King boss spawns. He will be at the very top of the Bandit Stronghold in a small arena. Unlike many other V bosses, Quincey will never move from this location!
Keep in mind, that there will be lots of enemies between you and Quincey, so come prepared!
But before you go off and try to defeat him, make sure you have followed the REQUIRED steps below or you won’t be able to fight him.
How to Beat Quincey the Bandit King
To beat the Bandit King in V Rising you need to follow these steps:
- Reach level 37 and defeat Clive the Firestarter
- Craft an Explosive Box
- Use the Explosive Box on the Bandit Camp entrance
You need to follow these steps to access the Bandit Camp and even have a chance to fight the Bandit King.
Things to note, however:
- Another player can blow the gate for you (lasts about an hour)
- Bear Form can breach the gate
- Being level 37 is best as the Bandit King is difficult if you’re under-leveled
If you’re wondering how to get some of the materials, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
How to Craft a Minor Explosive Box in V Rising
To craft a minor explosive box in V Rising you will need to have beaten Clive the Firestarter. Afterward, you can now craft the explosive box which requires 8 Sulfur, 8 Planks, and 4 Whetstones.
Once you’ve acquired the materials, head to an alchemy table and craft the minor explosive box!
Full Quincey the Bandit King Fight Mechanics
During the Quincey fight, he will have two minions that are rather easy to deal with, assuming you are properly leveled, so just take care of those quickly.
Quincey has an earthquake attack that creates explosions on the ground after a few seconds. Pretty easy to dodge since there is a delay between the attack and the explosions. Make sure to look at the ground to see where they are.
Quincey also has a charge attack that you should avoid. It does a large amount of damage and can straight up kill you if you aren’t careful.
At some point during the fight, he will raise his shield and start reflecting attacks back on you. Stop attacking him during this phase to avoid taking self-inflicted damage.
Finally, the Bandit King has an enraged attack that chains together three charges together, one right after the other. Again, Quincey’s charge does a lot of damage so avoid getting hit by any of these. Thankfully, after the third charge he stuns himself and you can do a bunch of damage to him for free.
And that’s the entirety of the Quincey the Bandit King fight!
