Rufus the Foreman Location in V Rising

In V Rising, you must take down a number of formidable monsters in order to gain new structures, powers, and recipes. Rufus The Foreman is one of several bandit commanders that will appear as powerful opponents in the early game. Rufus’ battle is very simple to win, but it has many amazing rewards to pick up. This tutorial will explain where Rufus the Foreman’s location is, how he fights, a suggested combat plan, and the rewards for killing him and consuming his V Blood.

In the Farbane Woods, Rufus the Foreman will always be found on the eastern side of the Bandit Logging Camp.

While the Logging Camp will often be crawling with bandits, he will wander about a small open space by himself. It is advised that you clean up the camp before confronting Rufus since doing so will provide you with a clear path out if things get uncomfortable. You can find Rufus easily and dodge most of the bandits by entering the Bandit Logging Camp from the northern bridge. When battling Rufus, there is little protection from the sun; thus, for optimal protection, battle Rufus only at night. Otherwise, he may rapidly take you down with his angry bandit army and Trap ability.

You’ll need the Blood Altar to locate Rufus with ease. Simply keep moving forward through the main story and missions to get it. When the Hunt quest is finished, it will become buildable. Then, gamers may put it anywhere in the castle that is convenient. After engaging with the Altar, they will see a list that includes Rufus the Foreman. Press F next to it to complete that. You can see the whole menu down below. Once you have selected the Track option at the Altar, a questline titled Tracking the blood of Rufus the Foreman will appear in the top left corner.

Rufus the Foreman Rewards

By extracting Rufus’ blood, players will receive:

  • Blood Rage – Increase attack speed by 25% for 4.5 seconds while shielding yourself and surrounding allies with 110 percent of your spell power
  • Woodworking Bench – Structure necessary to craft wooden weapons
  • Hunter’s Crossbow, Fishing Rod, Painting Frame, and Sculpted Wood – Recipes

You have access to a range of rewards once you defeat Rufus. The Vampire Power Blood Rage comes first. When you use Blood Rage, a shield will be placed around you and your close teammates, and for the following four seconds, your attack speed will be enhanced. It is possible to employ this skill even in the end game. If you are involved in PvP battles, this ability may truly turn the tables because its strength only rises when you play in a clan. You can swiftly mash out a lot of damage to your opponents because of the increased attack speed, and any shielding or healing is a valuable resource. This can easily be spammed because the 12-second cooldown is so short, and you can keep the boost up for a respectable amount of time even during frantic engagements.

Rufus will also provide you with the Woodworking Bench, a great alternative for wooden constructions. This will make it possible to build better Crossbows, which are always good to have even if they aren’t your main means of damage.

Additionally, four Woodworking Bench recipes, the Hunter’s Crossbow, the Fishing Rod, the Sculpted Wood, and the Painting Frame, will be available. The Fishing Rod is likely the most practical of these because it continues to be the greatest method for obtaining fish, a particular resource that many late-game recipes will employ in conjunction with the Fish Oil Reagent. To make the Rod, you’ll need a mix of planks, copper ingots, and coarse thread.

Tips for Beating Rufus the Foreman

To take on Rufus the Foreman, you need equipment that is at least level 20. Getting an even higher rating than that can make this fight a breeze. Here are the skills he will employ to destroy you:

Trap

Using a red scope, targets your present position before trapping you

Battle Rage

For a few seconds, increases his attack speed by 25%, while also shielding himself from damage

Summon

Summons Bandits to help

Rufus must be approached from the bridge or the back of the arena if you want to battle him alone. Don’t assault or warn any of Rufus’ troops, just head straight for him. The bridge is the best way in since, if used correctly, his soldiers will overlook you. Rufus must remain in the same region while you are engaged in combat. Otherwise, he will tell his warriors to join the right.

Rufus will use a cautious, ranged playstyle against you while carrying a crossbow. His basic strikes are sluggish and simple to escape as he moves away from you before pausing to fire a single shot. Continue to put pressure on him while being aware of your surroundings. Before he fires, a red line will illuminate his crossbow, giving you plenty of time to get out of the way.

Similar to the Bandit Trappers, Rufus will occasionally employ a ranged Trap attack. Before rooting any players caught in its missile, this will target your present location with a red reticle. The root only lasts a short while, but it has the potential to have you shot with Rufus’ crossbow or assaulted by his soldiers.

Before using his Battle Rage power, Rufus will also call forth a diverse group of bandits to assault you. He and all adjacent Bandits will glow red as a result, increasing their damage. In order to get past this, you may either kill off his bandits or continue playing the game as usual. However, you will need to be extra careful of his trap because at this stage in the game, getting hit by many agitated mobs can mean doom.

The suggested gear set to defeat Rufus, who only has a combat level of 20, will be the same as what you used to defeat the previous boss, Eroll The Stonebreaker. Use your favored Copper weapon to pursue Rufus; however, the mace can offer you a great additional jump to assist you to avoid his Trap ability. A complete Boneguard armor set will provide you with more than adequate defense.
