Rings in Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley, although a simulation farming game, also consists of fighting ferocious fiends in order to collect valuable items, explore more places, and complete quests. Fortunately, there are buffs available in the game and these buffs could come in the form of rings.
Rings are clothing items in Stardew Valley that when equipped in the inventory, grant the wearer passive effects that are very beneficial and give a more significant edge for succeeding in your endeavors. There are 30 known rings in Stardew Valley and each of them has unique perks when worn.
On that note, the ring you might want to choose on wearing depends on the task you have set for the day. However, there are certain rings that you should definitely obtain since they offer the best of the best buff.
Best Rings in Stardew Valley
One of the greatest benefits brought by rings is that they are very useful when you plan to embark on a dangerous journey into the deepest part of caves. That being said, these are deemed the best rings in Stardew Valley.
Phoenix Ring
As the legend says, a phoenix refers to a bird who rises from ashes, more to say, from the dead. And one of the best rings in Stardew Valley which happened to be named after such a creature exhibits the same effects on the player who wears it.
To elaborate, the Phoenix Ring would revive you if your health drops to zero. Upon your revival, you would recover half of your health and on top of that, you will not lose any progress on your exploration; you won’t lose any gold or any items and it will be just, as if, you just paused a game.
However, this ability of the Phoenix Ring could only be used once a day. Nevertheless, the thought of being able to proceed towards the deepest level of dungeons without having to be sent back to your bed due to monsters is really something.
Iridium Band
There might be some time that you need abilities of several rings all at once but you are not allowed to wear many rings simultaneously. Good news, the Iridium Band got your back!
Firstly, Iridium Band is one of the rings that you can sell for the highest price–a thousand gold. But, what really makes Iridium Band an invaluable item is that it has the combined ability of Glow Ring that lights up a 10-tile radius around you that is very useful in the darker areas of caves; Magnet Ring that attracts items on a 2-tile radius circumscribing you and; lastly, it also works like a Ruby Ring which induces attack damage increase by 10%.
Now knowing what perks the Iridium Band offers, you would realize how important and how advantageous it would be for you to have this ring in your possession.
Rings for Combat
Aside from the earlier-mentioned rings, there are rings that, you could say, are specifically intended for helping you in fighting.
Vampire Ring
Venturing into dungeons completely infested with monsters that require your tenacity and fighting skill, food, and healing items are the must-haves. But, if you happen to have hard time downing enemies and you are almost running out of supplies, having the Vampire Ring could make a remarkable difference.
With the Vampire Ring on, you will gain +2 health on every enemy you slain. Although the +2 health does not seem much, it would be another story if you are good at taking down monsters without having to take a large amount of damage.
Crabshell Ring
Another ring that is greatly beneficial when taking on combat-based quests is the Crabshell Ring. If you equip the Crabshell Ring, you gain +5 defense, a crucial factor when you are facing high-level monsters.
Rings for Cave Exploration
Exploring dungeons, caves, and other places in Stardew Valley could be quite tedious; with the monsters roaming around and troublesome obstacles n your way. But, delving into such places is inevitable since they, most probably, have the rarest items and wonders worthwhile the trouble. With these rings, you can have a smoother experience venturing into unchartered places.
Burglar’s Ring
If your journey is actually for collecting drops from monsters, hoping to obtain some rare ones, the Burglar’s Ring is a good choice. This is because it makes enemies drop items twice. In that sense, you are off to a bigger chance of obtaining not just rare items, but completely various kinds of finds, too.
Napalm Ring
Another useful ring for cave exploration is the Napalm Ring. When worn, the enemies you killed will produce a small explosion that can damage monsters in its area of effect and also blast down rocks hindering your way; it’s like hitting two birds with one stone. What’s more interesting is that, unlike most bombs, the explosion does not deal you damage.
Slime Charmer Ring
As the name suggests, the Slime Charmer Ring is designed to tame slimes. Going to slime-infested areas is difficult since they are also relatively hard to deal with especially when there are a lot of them.
With the Slime Charmer Ring, aside from taming the slimes, you will also be immune to them so you do not have to worry about taking damage if you bumped into them. This may sound a little cruel, but with this ring, you can also attack the slimes for their drop without them retaliating. But, all in all, you can have a peaceful trip from slimes.
Other Must-have Rings
These rings, though may not prove useful for fighting and other tedious works in the game, they provide a very important purpose in Stardew Valley.
Wedding Ring
The Wedding Ring, obviously, is a ring you can give to someone you want to marry inside the game. However, it is only a player-to-player proposal and therefore could only be obtained and used when playing in multiplayer.
Lucky Ring
There are some days that seem to be like a dud; tasks are incomplete, drops are not quite generous, and you can’t progress into the farther level of caverns. To get rid of these kinds of days, make sure to have a Lucky Ring. By equipping this ring, a permanent +1 luck increase is granted to you.
