The 10 Best and Worst Shiny Pokemon

Shiny Pokemon are the rarest types of Pokemon. Getting a shiny pokemon is a celebration, but some are certainly better than others. In this list of the 10 best and worst shiny pokemon, I will be sharing the worst shinies in Pokemon and the best shiny pokemon.

10. Worst: Shiny Machop

Shiny Machop - Best Shiny Pokemon

For some reason they made Shiny Machop look green and sickly. Whereas before he was gray. Definitely a weird choice, especially considering they didn’t do anything cool with his head things either (no idea what they are called).

9. Best: Shiny Charizard

Crimson and a dark sleek looking gray is such a good look. Regular Charizard looked badass to begin with, but oh my is Shiny Charizard an improvement.

Everything about this new color scheme is exciting and makes him look even more intimidating. Definitely one of the best shiny pokemon out there.

8. Worst: Dewgong

Shiny Dewgong

Shiny Dewgong looks almost the same as regular Dewgong. I wish they would have done something more radical for this Pokemon as Dewgong is one of the most uninspired Pokemon in the game. Maybe the worst shiny pokemon? At least creatively.

And to be honest, I prefer the non-shiny.

7. Best: Shiny Vulpix

Shiny Vulpix

Ok so technically Vuplix takes two spots on the list. First for regular Shiny Vulpix and another for Alolan Shiny Vulpix.

You seriously can’t get a cuter pokemon. Ok, maybe you can (further down the list) but it is hard to beat.

The regular Shiny Vulpix is a golden-looking Shiny pokemon while the Alolan is a super cool white pokemon. I don’t know which I like better honestly.

6. Worst: Shiny Muk

Shiny Muk

Disgusting was what they were going for when they made Muk and they really upped the ante on the new shiny Muk. From a gross purple to a disgusting green shiny pokemon.

Someone, please grab me a bucket.

I still love you Muk, just from afar.

5. Best: Shiny Rayquaza

Shiny Rayquaza

Rayquaza is the G.O.A.T.

Honestly, Rayquaza looked pretty cool in his regular form but Shiny Rayquaza is one of the coolest shinies in all of Pokemon.

It looks similar to the Charizard shiny that changes his colors into something more intimidating. Lots of the Pokemon are on this list because they are cute, but Rayquaza is on it because it looks sleek.

4. Worst: Shiny Miltank

Shiny miltank comparison

Seriously? A blue Miltank?

I have no idea why they made the shiny version of Miltank look like it got frozen. It isn’t the ugliest but it certainly wasn’t a good design decision either.

3. Best: Shiny Umbreon

Maybe it’s the fact that these Pokemon all look like super cute animals but I don’t care. Shiny Umbreon is straight-up adorable.

Remember how I said Rayquaza looked sleek? Well, Shiny Umbreon looks sleek and cute. The Keanu Reeves of Pokemon if you will.

The rings on Umbreon change to a glowing blue color if you get the Shiny version. Compared to his normal yellow. It makes him look less like a bee and more like a moon cat.

2. Worst: Ursaring

There are few ways to make a bear look unintimidating, yet they still managed to do it.

The Shiny version of Ursaring is not pretty to look at. They look more like gummy bears than actual bears, which is cool if you prefer green Pokemon. Personally, I don’t.

1. Best: Shiny Magikarp

shiny magikarp

Oh, you thought it would be something else?

Not only is Shiny Magikarp the absolute powerhouse of all Pokemon, but Shiny Magikarp is literally golden.

Before you dare complain about this I must warn you, I will use splash if I have to.

Best Looking Shiny Pokemon

The best-looking Shiny Pokemon aesthetically has to be either Shiny Umbreon or Rayquaza, but I’d say that Umbreon looks better.

Blue instead of yellow was such a good change and it makes Shiny Umbreon look so cool.

Worst Looking Shiny Pokemon

Muk by far is the worst-looking Shiny Pokemon. No offense intended of course. It was the look that they were going for after all.

Rarest Shiny in Pokemon Go

The rarest shiny in all of Pokemon Go is the party hat Pichu pokemon. It was an event pokemon and was super rare to boot. If you didn’t get it during the event, tough luck sadly.

If you are wondering what the rarest non-event Pokemon Go Pokemon is, well, it would be Lunatone. At least based on this survey.

Cutest Shiny in Pokemon Go

Shiny Pichu Cutest Shiny Pokemon

The cutest shiny in Pokemon Go goes to party hat pichu.

One of the rarest also happens to be the cutest shiny pokemon in Pokemon Go. I mean look at the Lil guy, he is wearing a hat!

That being said, the little guy does have competition. Of the cutest Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Go, I would say that Evee, Vulpix, and Zorua are all tied with Pichu. They are just too cute.
