So, you’ve wandered around Lost Ark looting to your heart’s content, and now, you have a full inventory. The question is, what do you do with all that extra gear in Lost Ark?
The simple answer is to sell your extra gear. But, you’re probably also worried about dismantling your gear. Don’t be.
Dismantling your gear turns it into otherwise useless resources such as Broken Equipment Powder. It serves no function except to make it easier to carry around your outdated gear. Because gear usually takes up entire slots in your inventory, having a way of recycling them into stackable components is far more convenient. Dismantled gear also sells for a similar amount!
What should you do with Useful Equipment Pieces? Sell it. It is virtually the same as the powder, it just has a different name.
If you prefer the look of your old gear, I’ve got bad news. There is no way to transmog or use the appearance of old/outdated gear. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Now, here are a few other questions you might have.
What to do with extra honing materials?
If you have already progressed to tier 2 from tier 1 or tier 3 from tier 2, you might be wondering what to do with all of your extra honing materials. The answer? Either trade them to your alts (if they aren’t bound) or sell them to vendors.
In the case of option one, just go to your storage and put the gear in the account storage. Now, when you log in on your alts, you can access the extra honing material and level them up quicker!
However, if the honing material is bound to you, it is sadly useless. Sell it to a vendor or trash it. As of right now, there is no Lost Ark mechanic that can recycle your bound honing materials.
The pile of tier 1 mats that all the players have discarded would take up half of the map by now.
For this reason, when farming Islands or receiving honing material that binds when opened, make sure to only use the amount that you actually need. Otherwise, you will end up wasting precious mats you could have given to your alts!
