The Coded Sword in Elden Ring is a Straight Sword that most players would find to be a dependable weapon. This is because it offers a balance between thrusting and slashing strikes, and is capable of dealing significant amounts of damage. They are among the simpler weapons in Elden Ring, and they complement shields well, enabling quick follow-up attacks after blocking.
This sword requires about 20 Faith, and it has the power to attack through shields, and if you keep swinging, it eliminates the weapon bounce. Since it scales primarily with Faith, this weapon is the perfect choice when you’re looking to do Holy Damage.
The Coded Sword’s weapon skill, Unblockable Blade, allows you to launch an area of effect attack that cannot be stopped. This causes major damage regardless of your enemy’s defense choices. As a result, the Coded Sword in Elden Ring covers a wide range of distance during strikes.
Unlike other weapons, the Coded Sword in Elden Ring cannot be infused with the Ashes of War, cannot even be boosted using consumables, and cannot be enchanted with Magic as it is powerful by itself. This weapon is not parryable unless it is used in running or rolling attacks.
The good news is you do not need to fight any Boss to retrieve this weapon as it is quite easy to find. You can get this weapon before beating The Black Blade, Maliketh.
