In the Sons of the Forest, the Zipline is likely the most important item that you get. Not only does it help you unlock other items, like the shovel, but it is also quite fun to use. Because of this, the zipline gun is one of the first items you should locate in Sons of the Forest.
So, in this article, I will show you exactly where to find the “rope” gun.
Keep in mind your crash site won’t be the same as someone else’s. That means you’ll have to use common landmarks to find the location of the
Rope Gun Location Sons of the Forest
You can find the zipline guns located west of the snow mountains. It will be inside a cave alongside a river. Enter the cave, and you will find a few corpses from which you can loot some materials.
Once inside the cave, a large blob will block the entrance. You can get past this blob by using a time bomb. Just throw the bomb at the blob, and it will explode, allowing you to pass.
Other than this minor obstacle, nothing really seems to be between you and the rope gun. When I went through the cave, there weren’t any enemies. I’m unsure if this means the cave is empty every time or just in my playthrough.
Continue going through with your flashlight, and eventually, you will make your way to the rope guns location.
And although it is called the rope gun in the game, let’s all be honest, it is a zipline.
I highly recommend getting the rope gun as one of your first items in the game, as it unlocks many more locations and allows you to progress in the story. You can easily get caught up building your base or murdering the local wildlife, but the zipline is critical to actually finishing the game.
