Where to Get Larval Tears in Elden Ring?

The best thing about Elden Ring is that you can shape your character according to your play style. For instance, you can invest attribute points in physical strength and Vigor if you are a brute force guy, or you can choose to develop your magic stats.

The main problem is that once you choose a path, there is no going back, and the level-up points are also limited. Fortunately, Elden Ring offers a second chance to get your hard-earned points back by using larval tears and a few runes.

But wait! Where to get Larval Tears in Elden Ring? Here is a list of all the locations where you can find a few Larval Tears to respec your character.

Locations of all Larval Tears in Elden Ring

Larval Tear is a rare item that you can’t find just lying around in the game. Moreover, the game only offers 18 Tears per playthrough, so make sure only to use them when you really need to. The good news is that it only costs one Larval Tear to respec once in Elden Ring. However, you must first defeat Rennala in Raya Lucaria Academy to respect in the first place. In other words, you can relocate as many points as you wish using just a Single Tear. Still, it is a good option to collect as many Tears as possible; here’s how:

Technically there are two Larval Tears in this area. However, you might have already acquired the first one by visiting the graveyard in Caria Manor and touching the ghost. However, the second Tear isn’t free like the others. You need to spend a few runes to purchase it from a merchant for the second Larval Tear.

The best place to search for Larval Tears is to look in the underground areas. According to the community, about one-third of the Tears are scattered underground, especially in Nokron and Nokstella. However, if you are only after one Tear, the Siofra River is the best place to go. Keep in mind that the Tear in the River costs 3,000 runes from a merchant.

Guide

Head to the Siofra River and rest at the site of Grace. Mount the Torrent and go to Mistwood’s Minor Erdtree. Proceed through the well just east of this location. Again, mount the Torrent and head northeast till you reach an elevator. The lift will take you downwards; continue riding east to reach the scaffolding near the waterfall’s woods. Nokron is a place rich in Larval Tears and deadly enemies. So, make sure only to visit the area after you reach at least level 50. Still, fighting all those enemies is worth the five Larval Tears that you get from Nokron.

Guide

For the first Tear, visit Nokron, Eternal City, and rest at the site of Grace. Travel southeast on your Torrent till you reach a stone building. There are several corpses inside this building; search them all to find one Larval Tear in one of them.

For the next Tear, head to Gazebo in Nokron, Eternal City. Explore the area till you stumble upon a bunch of dead bodies. Search all the bodies to retrieve one Larval Tear. However, beware that silver tears fall from the ceiling as you approach the corpses.

The final Larval Tear is rather easy to obtain. Simply head to the lower city area till you reach the Night’s Sacred Ground. Your next Larval Tear is inside a building in this area. First, you must defeat a giant silver sphere to drop the Tear. Moreover, you can also hunt for Night Maiden’s armor set in this location.

The second Tear is rather tricky to obtain. Don’t worry; you won’t be facing a deadly boss this time. Instead, cross the bridge and enter the building just northeast of the bridge. You will find a silver sphere hanging from the ceiling; defeat it using a ranged weapon. The trick is to avoid hitting the final blow while the sphere is still attached to the ceiling. Otherwise, the Larval Tear will drop in an unreachable location.

The final Larval Tear is awarded for defeating the silver sphere and the litany of the silver blob enemies. Head to the bridge and take the stairs next to the bridge in the building. A silver sphere will be hanging from the ceiling and dripping silver tears. Defeat the sphere to drop your final Larval Tear in Nokstella, Eternal City.
