Where is Nightsong in Baldur’s Gate 3
It’s not easy to find Nightsong in Baldur’s Gate 3, it requires a lot of effort and hard work to finally find her. Players must go through various spots and complete different mini-quests during the main questline of Find Nightsong.
There are a lot of things you can do during the quest. And at the end when you have found Nightsong, two choices will be presented, either you can save Nightsong or you can kill her. Saving her will lead to continuing the quest and heading to a few more places.
While killing her, results in ending up the quest and also losing many lives. With that being said, the final decision is in your hands. Before all that happens, you have to start your quest by following the guidelines below.
Act I
Find Nightsong Quest starts in Act I. The quest starts gaining momentum when you speak to Aradin in the Druid’s Grove. You will see him speaking to Zevlor, that’s the time when you can speak to Aradin.
You can also interact with him when he has finished the conversation with Zevlor. He will then tell that he and his team have been finding Nightsong somewhere below the temple, that area is actually full of goblins.
Making Your Way Priestess Gut’s Chamber
The quest slowly gets heated up after you speak to Liam who is in the Goblin’s Camp. The twist here is that even Liam doesn’t exactly know how you can enter the temple.
What you need to do here is head directly into Priestess Gut’s Chamber. Here, you will have to face the goblins and take out the Priestess immediately. Clear the area at the earliest before Priestess Gut tries to alarm the whole camp.
After killing her, look for the key. This key is used to get access to the secret room at the back, it also leads to the secret part of the temple.
Solving Puzzle to Enter Underdark
When you make your way out of that Gut’s Cell, don’t take the first left. Instead, take the second left and make it to the chapel by following the same path. You will end up at a spot where you can see circles on the ground.
That’s the stone puzzle that you are going to solve. Rotate the circles on the ground to complete the puzzle. Once you have successfully finished the puzzle, a wall at the end of the chapel will slide. This opens a path to the Underdark.
Entering the Underdark
Once the wall slides and reveals a passage, head into that place and you will find yourself in the underground world. This is the Underdark, it’s a completely different world than the main map of Baldur’s Gate 3.
You will get to know various things in the underground world. Your journey of Find Nightsong Quest comes to a halt here. To continue further in the quest, you must wait for Act II.
Act II
Once you have made it to Act II, you will gain access to the Shadow-Cursed Lands. But, you are still in the Underdark. You have to keep going into the Underdark until you have found Grymforge.
Crossing the Shadow-Cursed Lands
Crossing the Shadow-Cursed Lands takes you to the Last Light Inn. From here travel to your south and go deeper into the crypt. Eventually, you will reach Gauntlet of Shar.
That’s the spot where you meet Nightsong. But, to enter, you must solve some puzzles and also win a boss fight. This will reward you with Umbral Keys. With the keys, you can enter the Gauntlet of Shar.
Encountering Nightsong
Once you have collected the four keys which are the orbs, head to the east of Gauntlet of Shar. Here, you will see the Pedestal of Reckoning. Now, you can place the orb in it, this opens an entrance and takes you deep into that Pedestal.
At the next Pedestal, you can place the remaining orbs. This will open a way to a glowing pool which is the entrance to the Shadowfell. That’s the exact spot where you are going to meet Nightsong and end up on the quest.
Killing or Saving Nightsong
When you enter the Shadowfell, you will eventually meet Nightsong. Here you will have the choice either to kill her or save her. If you are willing to kill her then you can do so with any of your players or you can also have Shadowheart on your team.
Shadowheart will kill her on her own because there is a link between the backgrounds of both NPCs. If you are letting Shadowheart do it for you, then forget to recruit Shadowheart to your party before entering the Gauntlet of Shar.
If you choose to kill Nightsong on your own then Shadowheart will leave your party permanently. And you cannot reverse this thing.
Now, if you choose to save Nightsong then you will have more options. Also, you will have to convince Shadowheart not to kill Nightsong. After convincing her, there will be a dialogue scene.
Once this is over, everyone will head towards the Moonrise Towers. At this point, you can speak to Nightsong and ask her to stay at your camp. From here, you can continue on your journey to Act II.
Where is the Nightsong in the Temple of Shar?
Nightsong is not in the Temple of Shar. The hidden spot in the temple leads you to the exact location of Nightsong. She will be in the Shadowfell which is in the Gauntlet of Shar.
You have to travel through Underdark which takes you to the Shadow-Cursed Lands from Grymforge to the Last Light Inn and finally to the Gauntlet of Shar.
Can You Find Nightsong in Act 1?
Unfortunately, there is no way you can find Nightsong in Act I. Although, you can start her quest in Act I after interacting with Aradin in Druid’s Grove.
This will start your Find Nightsong Quest. During Act I, you can make progress in Find Nightsong Quest until you have reached Underdark. Upon reaching the Underdark, the quest will be stopped and won’t be available until you have unlocked Act II.
That’s everything for the “Baldur’s Gate 3 Where is the Nightsong” guide. You see that Nightsong is in the Shadowfell which is located in the Gauntlet of Shar. This Find Nightsong Quest is an extremely long quest and lasts for two Acts in the game.
During Act I, players must speak to Aradin in the Druid’s Grove. After that players can head to Priestess Gut’s Chamber which leads to the Underdark and then to the Shadow-Cursed Lands.
Finally, you will have to make your way to the Gauntlet of Shar where you can interact with Pedestal of Reckoning. This Pedestal leads you to the Shadowfell where you meet with Nightsong.
