Best Glue Gunner Path BTD6

In Bloons Tower Defense 6, there are a variety of support towers that are extremely important for certain builds, one of the most important of these support towers is the Glue Gunners. Glue Gunners have three paths to take, Bloon Solver, Glue Storm, and Super Glue. Today, I am going to show you which Glue Gunner Path is the absolute best in BTD6 and why.

Keep in mind, this does not mean you can’t use the other paths for the Glue Gunner. There are a variety of different playstyles that fit the Glue Gunner, this is just the one I think.

What is the best path for Glue Gunners in BTD6?

The best path for Glue Gunners in BTD6 is hands down the Super Glue.

You might right now be saying “but wait, Bloon Solver does damage and all Super Glue does is slow. That can’t be the best Glue Gunner path!” Well, like I said before the best path is not necessarily the one that destroys the most bloons, instead, it is the path that works best in most scenarios.

Glue Gunners and MOAB Presses (boomerang throwers) are one of the strongest and cheapest combos in BTD6 right now and make super hard rounds extremely easy. And it doesn’t simply come down to their bloon popping strength either, they are absurdly cheap for the amount of damage they do (slightly over 10k for the combo) and make ZOMGs and BFBs feel like a breeze.

So if you are looking for a cheap, efficient, and deadly combo, choose the Super Glue path for Glue Gunners. Glue Gunners that take this path are usually used in CHIMPS (you can even check out this tier list to see where they ranked Glue Gunners!).

Best Glue Gunner Path for Damage

So Super Glue is the best path for efficiency, but what is the best Glue Gunner path for damage? The best Glue Gunner path for damage is Bloon Solver. This path melts even MOAB class balloons and knocks out ceramics and fortified ceramics insanely fast.

A quick description of the above image with the Glue Gunner path.

• Glue Soak: Soaks every layer of a bloon, but does not affect MOABs
• Corrosive Glue: Does damage to bloons and even MOABs, but can’t slow them still
• Bloon Dissolver: Dissolves bloons faster, at a rate of 1 damage per .575 seconds
• Bloon Liquefier: Hits another bloon per shot and pops 10 bloons per second
• Bloon Solver: Does bonus damage to Ceramics and MOABs while increasing the amount of bloons hit

As you can see, this Glue Gunner path is all about damage and once you fully complete it by getting the Bloon Solver, you do loads of extra damage to MOABs and Ceramics, which are late-game problems.

The main problem with the Bloon Solver path for Glue Gunners is that their niche (destroying ceramics) is done better by the Mortar Monkeys. In other words, why even use the Bloon Solver path if Mortar Monkeys perform the exact same function but better?

So, while technically the best damage path for the Glue Gunners, it is still weaker than Super Glue.

Glue Storm Path – Glue Gunner

Glue Storm is the worst path for the Glue Gunner. It is the only Glue Gunner path that gives you an ability, however, that ability is pretty useless. Also, the Glue Storm path does nothing to late game bloons like Ceramics or MOABs (except for the ability), which makes it terrible once those bloons start coming out. Although, it does work as an alternative to Super Brittle.

You should also only use the Glue Storm path with the Bloon Solver path as well. 2-4-0 is the advised setup for a Glue Gunner going the Glue Storm path, as it is the only way the Glue Gunner can affect MOABs in this path.

As you can see, the path is all about putting glue on the most bloons possible. While the ability does affect MOAB class bloons, since it is tied directly to the ability, you lose the ability to affect MOABs once it is on CD.

My main problem with this path for Glue Gunners is that it gets outdone by Super Glue as a support tower. Otherwise, it would be a decent tower in itself.

Super Glue – Glue Gunner Path (Tier 3-5)

As stated at the beginning, the Super Glue path is by far the best build for the Glue Gunner in BTD6. It is the only true support path for the Glue Gunner which is already a support tower, to begin with. Also, it is the best late-game and most efficient path for the Glue Gunner. This makes it a must on CHIMPS or other hard modes.

This path is all about maximizing the slowdown of all bloon types including MOAB type bloons (something the other paths can’t do). Super Glue Glue Gunners can hold down the strongest bloons and give your other towers ample time to destroy them without having to invest in super high DPS towers that cost an arm and a leg.

With Stickier Glue you have an upgrade that makes your glue last an absurdly long time, which means even if they leave the range of the Glue Gunner they will still be slowed. You stop getting upgrades at MOAB glue because Relentless glue is somewhat useless. So for the sake of efficiency, you stop at MOAB glue.

The ideal cross-path is Glue Storm and Super Glue. So, a 0-2-3 Glue Gunner. The reason being that the first path does nothing useful for the bottom path.

But the gist of it is, Super Glue Glue Gunners are hands down the best late-game path for Glue Gunners.

Which is the best cross-path for Glue Gunners?

The best cross path is a 0-2-3 Glue Gunner. This is because Glue Soak doesn’t work on blimps, which is the whole point of the Super Glue, to affect Blimps. Instead, we value the pierce and the sheer number of bloons we can hit at once.
