BTD6: Best Hero for C.H.I.M.P.S.

It’s mind-boggling to consider that Tower Defense games of Ninja Kiwi have been available for a long time and that I’ve played nearly all of them, with number six being the most recent addition to my list of completed titles.

The producers have done an incredible job of giving each installment of the Bloons Tower Defense series its own identity; BTD6 is the first to feature Heroes, for example, despite the series’ central idea remaining largely unchanged.

However, in today’s article, I will discuss the best hero in BTD6 for C.H.I.M.P.S.

What is C.H.I.M.P.S. Mode in BTD6?

C.H.I.M.P.S. Mode is notoriously challenging in BTD6, if not the most so. Defeating C.H.I.M.P.S. calls for an impressive arsenal of tactics. The word “C.H.I.M.P.S.” stands for:

  • C=No Continues
  • H= No Hearts Lost
  • I= No Bonus Income
  • M= No Monkey Knowledge
  • P= No Powers
  • S= No Selling

Here’s the full description of all the functions of C.H.I.M.P.S. Mode:

C=No Continues

If you enable “No Continues,” you won’t be able to restart the current game. Either beat the mode, or you don’t, and there’s no between ground. Take care to avoid making reckless plays that could cost you the game. To be on the safe side, maybe.

H= No Hearts Lost

Like with No Continues games, taking unnecessary risks in this one could result in losing a life. The game is over as soon as you lose a life in a typical game of CHIMPS. It’s possible that a Spike Factory placed near the exit would be useful for stopping any stray leaks.

I= No Bonus Income

When we say “No Bonus Income,” we mean that there are no means of generating money. Having a Banana Farm is forbidden by law (except before Version 2.0 and some custom challenges).

Any income generator with the Generates Bonus Income (generates in-game money per round, commonly in-game cash) Bonus Income or Generates Bonus Income Per Pop Bonus Income Per Pop attributes is prohibited.

Even if a CHIMPS tower generates no money, that doesn’t mean you can’t put it to good use.

M= No Monkey Knowledge

Since this game style does not use Monkey Knowledge, players are advised against relying solely on that tactic. Use what you already know to play, and think of Monkey Knowledge solely as a bonus.

Also, please note that Impoppable has removed Mana Shield from ManaShieldIcon.png to make room for CHIMPS. If you want to get ready for CHIMPS, you should play Impoppable.

P= No Powers

In regular games, you shouldn’t rely on Powers or Insta-monkeys to save your runs. You shouldn’t use any boosting bonuses on this mode of play, including Double Cash and Hero Booster. Spending money won’t aid CHIMPS unless you count buying new Heroes as help.

S= No Selling

Unlike in traditional game modes, where optimal selling placement is crucial, this mode removes that factor entirely.

Unless the tower is picked up with a Support Chinook, sacrificed by Adora, or destroyed by a unique map mechanic, such as the flooding in Flooded Valley, it will remain there indefinitely. Be careful not to make placement mistakes, as doing so might easily cost you the game.

Think about the towers that are close to one another, the several ways each tower might be used at different game stages, and the effects of each possible tower location.

Location of towers, Alch buffs, and other range-oriented buffing sources, as well as other situations when tower placement is crucial, all fall under this category.

What are Heroes in BTD6?

Heroes are a formidable collection of towers, each with special attacks and abilities. Like the other monkeys, Heroes have classifications like Military, Primary, Magic, Support, etc.

In Co-Op mode, each player can choose their best hero in BTD6 to play as, making it the only way to use multiple heroes at once in a game.

The various heroes present in BTD6 for use are Quincy, Gwendolin, Obyn Greenfoot, Striker Jones, Captain Churchill, Ezili, Benjamin, Pat Fusty, Admiral Brickell, Adora, Sauda, Etienne, Psi, and Geraldo.

What is the Best Hero for C.H.I.M.P.S. Mode?

Are you wondering what the best hero in BTD6 for C.H.I.M.P.S. mode is? In my opinion, the heroes: Striker Jones, Etienne, and Pat Fusty are the best choices in C.H.I.M.P.S. mode. Let’s discuss these heroes in detail:

Hero #1: Striker Jones

Best Hero for C.H.I.M.P.S. - Striker Jones

Striker Jones will do serious damage to groups of balloons. Striker Jones takes the same amount of damage from a swarm of balloons as he would from a single balloon, even if the game tries to sneak in a bunch of balloons all at once.

Although his primary purpose does not necessitate him to be effective against M.O.A.B. blimps, he is not very good at doing so. When this hero steps in to handle the minor details, it allows the team to focus on defending against single-target attacks.

Striker Jones will take care of the others while you concentrate on taking out individual buildings after he’s been taken care of.

Hero #2: Etienne

Best Hero for C.H.I.M.P.S. - Etienne

While Etienne’s drones lack the range and mobility of other towers in open-world mobile games, their ability to see over cliffs and walls can be invaluable on levels with clear barriers.

Etienne’s damage is effective when other D.P.S. heroes would normally be overwhelmed because of his ability to assault several targets with a large number of drones.

Etienne has a very specific ideal application. He can disregard maps with obstructions to prevent towers from firing repeated bullets. Put him in a spot where a tower can’t normally harm.

Best Hero in BTD6

In Bloons T.D. 6, completing a mission requires more than simply a few victories. All-around game strength is required of players.

Pat Fusty is an exceptional hero in every respect. In the beginning, he has the strength to ride several waves alone. In conclusion, he has become an important pillar of the monkey community.

Pat Fusty should disregard only maps with insufficient space for clustered towers in challenging wave conditions. In the endgame, Pat Fusty becomes a support best hero in BTD6 who benefits from being surrounded by powerful towers

Conclusion

  • One of the most challenging modes of BTD6 is the “C.H.I.M.P.S.” mode. You will have to play with a different type of approach and tactics.
  • BTD6 features heroes that you can use to help boost your towers or kill bloons using their amazing skills and abilities.
