Entering the Arena
The first thing that we want to do is enter the arena, which can be done with the help of Obelisk or a Supply Crate. Manticore can be found in the Manticore Arena, Ragnarok Arena, and Forsaken Oasis. To access each one of these arenas, you will need to look for the Obelisk or Supply Crate, which teleports us to the arena.
Once you have found the Obelisk, use a Tribute Item, which can be an Artifact or a special item. Here are the items that can be used.
- Fire Talon: 2x for Gamma, 10x for Beta, and 20x for Alpha.
- Lightning Talon: 2x for Gamma, 10x for Beta, and 20x for Alpha.

Attacking Techniques
Manticore has the highest number of attacking techniques. These include ground, air, and shoot attacks. With its strong fangs and claws, it can perform attacks. Moreover, it can shoot Poison Stings and Poison Balls. The Poison Ball move can be used in the mid-air as well.
The main attack of Manticore is Fangs and Claws which has a base damage of 1100 points. Other than that, it can perform a Quill attack.
Weakness
Like other bosses in ARK, Manticore too has a weakness. Manticore has an average-sized health pool which is its biggest weakness. A group of Rexes alone can take it down in a few minutes. It will keep flying in the air if not much space is given for its landing.

When going on a boss fight, there is always a need for certain items that cannot be skipped at any cost. Skipping these items can be crucial. Also, these important items include weapons, health recovery items, and food.
You should not miss this stuff at any cost. Because if somehow your health runs out then you will need to recover it before you die. And in some cases, your dinos may die too soon, so you will need to use weapons in order to kill the boss.
How Much Damage Does the Manticore Do?
It depends upon its attacking moves. Each of its attacks has a different damage rating. Hence, the Poison Ball attack has the highest damage rating. At the same time, other moves can also do tons of damage but not as high as this one.
Moreover, Manticore can also perform attacking moves in mi-air so, be ready to dodge those moves when it is flying.
Can You Tame the Manticore Boss in ARK?
Unfortunately, you cannot tame Manticore. This is an untamable creature in ARK. However, you can catch other powerful dinos on the map. There are dozens of other creatures that can be captured and tamed to bring out the best version of them.
Moreover, some unique creatures only spawn during the event period. So, you can consider catching them as well.
