The whole story revolves around you trying to solve Kryx’s Legacy. In this regard, the Absolute Power quest is the last puzzle piece before you reveal the legendary secret.
Unlike previous Crimson Fleet quests, you don’t have to kill anyone or fight lethal robots. Instead, you will infiltrate a power company as an undercover agent. As the whole quest is stealth-based, you don’t even need to bring any weapons. This article provides a step-by-step Absolute Power walkthrough and everything that comes with it.

Absolute Power Walkthrough:
Absolute Power is the sixth mission in the Crimson Fleet questline. In this quest, your objective is to infiltrate a power company in Neon and bring back the data to The Key. However, before you can get your hands on the power grid data, you must pass a persuasion check, collect the grid data, and download Estelle’s Virus. The game doesn’t guide you through every step, making the whole deal a bit complicated.
So, here’s a step-by-step walkthrough for the Absolute Power quest:
Speak to Estelle Vincent:
After completing “Echoes of the Past” and “The Best There Is,” your next stop is Neon City. The map to Kryx’s Legacy is hidden behind a gas giant, so you must acquire the power grid data to unlock your path. Once you start the mission, the mission marker will lead you to Neon City. Here, you must make your way to Ebbside and enter Madame Sauvage’s Lodge.
Next, head to the second floor and speak with Estelle Vincent. At the first meeting, Estelle will act a bit strange as she still considers you a rookie. However, as the dialogue progresses, she reveals some information about Generdyne and asks you to download her virus into one of the computers.
Acquire the Evidence (optional):
Before you make your way to find Ayumi Komiko, there is an optional step that will come in handy later on. So, follow the quest marker and head to Generdyne Industries headquarters. Here, you will find Ji Nashida standing at the front desk.
Next, save your game before speaking with him, as there is an incoming persuasion check. Speak with Ji Nashida and persuade him to access Ayumi’s Office. Finally, search the locker to retrieve the Evidence against Ayumi and Breyson Bayu. This is an important item as it is also a piece of evidence for the Burden of Proof quest.
Note: Close the window blinds before looting the locker or else the women across will catch you in the act.
Alternatively, if you fail the persuasion check and don’t want to reload, you can sneak behind the counter and pickpocket Nashida to get the security card. Lastly, if you are traveling alone, you can stealth kill him with unarmed build to loot the card off his corpse.
Enter the Member’s Lounge:
The next step is to find and speak with Ayumi Komiko. However, she is sitting in a members-only area, and you will need a keycard to enter it. So, follow the quest marker to reach Euphorika and confront Myka. At first, she will become aggressive as soon as you mention Ayumi.
However, you will need to persuade her to give you the access card. Firstly, you can use your connections with the Crimson Fleet to win her trust. However, if you want to keep it real, you must loosen your pockets and pay up to 5,000 Credits to gain the security pass.
Get the Security Pass:
Once you enter the member’s lounge, you will find Ayumi sitting near the bar. Speak with her and mention your desire to enter the warehouse. After a brief dialogue, you will get three options:
- Show Evidence: use this option to bring down the price or even get the security pass for free (communication skills).
- Pay: You must pay up to 4,000 Credits, depending on your character level, Background, and acquired skills.
- Kill Her: You will gain the pass for free, but you must deal with bodyguards, and UC SysDef and your companions will hate you.
Reach the Power Core:
Once you gain the security pass from Ayumi, exit Euphorika, turn right, and go down the street until you find an elevator. Take this elevator down to Neon’s underground section and take the path on your right to go around the receptionist. Finally, enter through the Generdyne storage room to reach the receptionist’s other side.
From here, you must maintain noise discipline as a large group of armed guards and employees will be present around every corner. At the same time, you can blast your way through the power station; it’s all just unnecessary violence. Next, use the stairs, vents, and broken windows to sneak past all guards and avoid unwanted attention.
Also, keep your eyes peeled for unlockable crates and safes, as you can sell these items for a hefty price at The Key. Finally, use the elevator at the end of the path, past the control room, to reach the Power Core. Finally, use the computer on one of the tables to download the power grid data; wait, what! It’s encrypted!
Find Breyson Bayu:
The encrypted data is virtually useless for you. The good news is that the chief technician, Breyson Bayu, hates his boss as much as everyone else. You can find his CTO office by crouching through the grate behind the desk. Approach Breyson and speak to him about the encrypted data.
Surprisingly, he will happily give you the decryption cipher so that you can steal the technology. While you are at Breyson’s terminal, you can use the upload Subsystem Data input to install Estelle’s virus into the computer. Finally, look around and loot anything valuable before leaving the area.
Return to Estelle Vincent:
After uploading Estelle’s virus, go down the hallway and take the elevator to the Trade Tower. This location is just beneath the Astral Lounge, where you will rendezvous with Estelle Vincent. So, take the stairs and enter the VIP lounge. Next, enter booth number 2 to find your acquittance, but there is a surprise waiting for you.
The virus that you uploaded alerted Benjamin Bayu, who will be waiting for you at the location. Estelle knew about this change in plans and fled, leaving you behind to face the consequences. Fortunately, instead of starting a fight, Benjamin gives you three choices:
- Take the Blame:
- Some Companions won’t like that you lied.
- Benjamin will place a bounty over your head.
- Estelle will leave Crimson Fleet unless you pay for her loss.
- Blame Breyson Bayu:
- Some Companions won’t like that you lied.
- Benjamin will deal with his brother and remove any suspicion related to the Crimson Fleet.
- Estelle will leave Crimson Fleet unless you pay for her loss.
- Blame Estelle:
- Companions will love your truthfulness.
- Benjamin will deal with Estelle, increasing your synergy with UC SysDef.
- Estelle will leave your side forever.
Return to The Key:
After dealing with the Benjamin problem, your mission in Neon is pretty much complete. Next, head back to Madame Sauvage’s place and tell Estelle about what happened and how you weren’t behind the whole scheme. Finally, All you need to do is head back to The Key and return the power grid data to Naeva.
He will tell you the final job of the Crimson Fleet questline, give you your rewards, and ask you to prepare for the final showdown.
Absolute Power Rewards:
Absolute Power is one of the best rewarding quests in the Crimson Fleet questline. You will earn the following rewards for completing this quest:
- Conduction Ship Module.
- 12,400 Credits
- 350 XP
- The Big Score (Evidence)

Crimson Fleet offers some of the best side quests in Starfield. Most of these quests revolve around solving Kryx’s Legend while working as a double agent for UC SysDef. Absolute Power is the sixth mission in this questline; while it seems pretty generic on paper, players often fail to maintain stealth discipline.
