Once you have crafted the farm plots, place them at the spot where there is no roof and the light can directly drop on them. Now, just place the seeds in these farm plots. Once seeds are planted, they will start growing and when the growth cycle is completed they will be ready to harvest.

The trees have four stages in the growth cycle. The highest stage gives you 150x Wood and 2 seeds for harvesting. The best way to harvest trees is using the Axe. Whereas, the crop plants can be harvested with bare hands.

Can You Plant on the Ground 7 Days to Die?

Some of the plants and trees can be planted on the ground in the dirt area. But the others need to be planted in the Farm Plots. Most of the plants except the Mushroom plant are planted in the Farm Plot.

The trees such as Oak Tree, Pine Tree, and Blue Spruce Tree can be planted on the ground. This is because the trees are big in size and they cover more space. So, they grow well in open areas.

Do Crops Need Sunlight 7 Days to Die?

Yes, the plants and trees in 7 Days to Die need proper sunlight. Without light, they won’t survive and will die eventually. Place the farm plots at the spot where the sunlight is directly dropping on them.

Farm Plots are easy to replace which allows players to move them anywhere on the map. You can always move them in case if you are changing the look of your base or if you are upgrading it.

Do Plants Need Water in 7 Days to Die?

No, the plants do not need any water in 7 Days to Die. They just need to be placed in sunlight and they will start growing. This makes growing crops at your base a lot easier and simpler. All in all, the plants don’t require much of the care from the players.
