Baldur’s Gate 3 When to Call Allies

Baldur’s Gate 3 takes you to some of the hardest spots of your entire adventure. One of the spots is the grand battle that sets at the end. That’s where the Call Allies feature comes in handy. But, to most of the players, it’s always a concern exactly when they should Call Allies during the final battle in Baldur’s Gate 3.

If you are too not sure when to Call Allies then this guide is for you. During your entire journey, you will come across many NPCs. The thing is with the right decision during the conversation you can make them help you in the final battle.

Once you have met all the NPCs, you can call them in the final battle. However, you must know when to call the allies during that last show. This guide is going to tell you about the final showdown and the right time to call your allies in Baldur’s Gate 3. So, let’s start the guide.

When to Call Allies in Baldur’s Gate 3: Explained!

As soon as you begin the final battle, you will get the option to call your allies. But, is it the right time to call allies at the beginning of the battle? Well, it can be a little tricky. Although, most of the allies stay up for a recall if you keep them alive after the first summon still you should wait for the right moment.

The final battle is a tough and quite long journey compared to the rest of the battles. You will come across several spots where you must call your allies to aid the battle. Without summoning your allies things can get worse.

There are allies that you can resummon several times but you should always know the right time to call allies. The best thing about calling for help is we have a long list of characters that are available for the summon. But, you should have already asked them to help you out in this final stage.

Here are the right spots to call for help.

  • High Hall Courtyard
  • Tower to The Netherbrain
  • Atop the Netherbrain

Whenever you reach these places you can call your allies. Most of your allies can be summoned later as well if they survived your first summon. So, you must keep an eye on each ally that you summon in combat.

Also, try not to call the full group at once. Break them into groups and call them as per your needs. Additionally, there are a few characters that can be summoned only once. So, you must save them for the best time. They are quite powerful, so the right time is when you are finding a battle entirely unable to win.

Here are the allies that can be summoned only one time.

  • Auntie Ethel: She can help you become invisible. With her ability, you will be able to reach the top without engaging in most of the battles.
  • Isobel: Isobel can help you with healing your party. So, she is of best use when you are in the High Hall Courtyard. Things can go out of hand at this stage so use Isobel wisely.
  • Rolan: Rolan has the ability to perform a mass drop of fireballs from above. This covers a large area. It’s an excellent move when you are looking to damage a big area. Summon Rolan at Atop the Netherbrain. At that point, you can use him against Dream Warriors, Tendrils, and Emperor as well.
  • Kith’rak Voss: He has the ability to cast a firewall. There are two places in your final journey where you can summon him, these two spots are High Hall Courtyard, and Atop the Netherbrain.

These are the four most powerful allies that you can summon only once. Now, you know the right spots to summon them.

Apart from these allies, the rest of the allies who are available for summoning almost anytime are the ones you should be using more commonly. Try summoning them in each battle so that you can ensure your way up to the last stage.

But, be sure to keep an eye on all of your allies and recover them as soon as they receive any damage. These allies can easily defeat your enemies if you summon them in every battle. There is a large number of allies that you can summon all at once and multiple times during the entire final battle.

Each one of the allies has a different ability. Altogether they become unbeatable. No matter who is your enemy. So, go all in and finish off your journey in style.
