Today I will be showing you the best weapons in the Surge 2. I will be going through all weapon types (with a tier list) in the Surge 2 and showing you the best weapons from those types. Let’s begin.

Spears
ONE OF THE BEST SPEARS IN SURGE 2: Brother Truman’s Faith
Spears are a long-ranged type of weapon in Surge 2. They offer the unique perk of keeping you safe from most melee encounters because they have such a long reach. Most of the time you fight enemies, they will be dead before they even have a chance to fight back.
The spears in Surge 2 also have tremendous AOE abilities on par with any other AOE weapon type. You will find that the spear spin attack is the best combo when facing large groups of enemies, but has other high damage combos that are incredibly fun to use.
Overall, the spear is one of the best weapon types in The Surge 2. It brings a great combo set and AOE damage while also allowing you to stay relatively safe and at a distance for most encounters.
Twin-rigged
Twin-rigged weapons in Surge 2 are some of the quickest in the game and can hit multiple enemies at once. It also comes with a nice evasive backflip attack that allows you to disengage from enemies if needed.
Sadly, the twin-rigged weapons don’t allow you to stagger enemies and don’t do well in large groups. You’ll get hit and take more damage than you want if you try and use twin-rigged to combo down groups of enemies.
Overall the twin-rigged weapon type provides lots of hit-and-run combo weapons. Although you can’t cleave a bunch of enemies down at once, the twin-rigged weapon type is exceptional for boss battles.
Punching Gloves
BEST PUNCHING GLOVES IN SURGE 2: Zarathrustra
Ironically one of the better weapons in The Surge 2, the punching gloves pack quite the punch. Don’t expect flashy moves from this weapon type; instead, expect to pummel enemies down into nothing with simple button-mashing combos.
The punching gloves have a quick dodge attack and a semi-slow dash but also come with a good slam attack that can disrupt fights well. Also included is a spam attack that allows you to beat an enemy until your stamina drops to zero. It reminds me of UFC games.
Overall, don’t expect a whole lot of fun flashy combos from the Punching gloves. They definitely get the job done but at the cost of simplicity.
Best Surge 2 Weapon Overall
The Spear is the absolute best weapon in Surge 2 overall. You have insane reach and accuracy that other weapons simply lack.
Whether you’re in a 1v1 or fighting an entire pack of enemies, the spear is able to handle both incredibly well. The combos are simple and easy to learn, so even beginners will want to pick up a spear.
