Conan Exiles Best Base Locations

Conan Exiles is all about the experience and adventures. There is always a journey waiting for you in the Exiles World. Before getting out into the exile lands make sure your base has enough space. Because visiting new places can be rewarding with rare stuff. Obviously, you will be coming with the stuff on your way back so you should have the space to store the items.

Moreover, your base should be built in regions that are dense in resources. This will help you a lot when you need to craft items. Bases are a great way to survive in Conan Exiles. They are the basic need of the game.

It is nearly impossible to survive in the game without having a strong base. The monsters, creatures, and other players are always on a hunt. They will get you down in no time if you have nowhere to keep yourself safe and no weapons for self-defense.

Best Base Locations in Conan Exiles

Let’s dive into the journey full of adventures and see Conan Exiles’ best base locations.

Relicwatcher Rise in B7/8

On the first, we have Relicwatcher Rise in B7/8. This place is exactly located between B7 and B8. This is the best-elevated area you can find on the map. The best thing about this spot is that it is surrounded by tons of resources. Specially, you can find a good amount of metal here. So, you are not going to run out of resources anytime.

This place has access to thralls as well. No need to visit farther regions in search of thralls. This place has it all. Additionally, there is enough water around the area that it would be enough to hunt fish. Relicwatcher Rise has proved to be the best spot to start your journey in Conan Exiles.

The Great Dam in G10

With the name, you can guess this place would have an unlimited amount of water. But, that’s not only it. This area is a great place from the defensive point of view. You can find a few spots here that can be highly defensive for your base.

Also, you will get a beautiful view of the surroundings from your camp. You have the advantage of collecting various resources from this area as well. However, it’s not easy to conquer the spot here as it is a popular location. Give your best and try to get a hold here.

Gate of the Moon in M5

Next up we have, Gate of the Moon in M5. We have plenty of metal resources here which means the area is good to have a camp here. Moreover, you can easily find food and water nearby. What makes this place attractive is that it is hidden in between dense jungle, and lush green surroundings with a stunning view.

The jungle in the surrounding gives the advantage to keep this fortress under cover from most of the players. Beginners usually head towards deserts, oases, and savannah areas which are easy to discover and conquer.

These three spots are Conan Exiles’ best base locations from all the major aspects. However, the main thing that you should keep in mind while looking for the best base location is that there should be a good amount of resources.

It makes no sense to build a base at a location where there are not enough resources. Because you will have to visit other areas in search of basic ingredients such as wood, water, food, etc.

Best Base Location for PVP

Best Base Location for PVP

When we talk about PVP in Conan Exiles, the only thing that comes into mind is the base should be highly defensive. In PVP, we can compromise a bit on the resources when looking for a base location but not on the defensive side.

Your camp must be at a location that is not easily accessible to other players. On the exiles’ land, you can discover many such places but it’s not easy. So, to make it simpler let’s see one of the best locations.

Heliograph Heights can be the safest location on the map as it has a spot that is quite high. This spot is unreachable to many players. This place can prove to be the safest spot for PVP. However, there are a few more places that can be safe as well.

Here is the list:

  • Deserter’s Gutter
  • The Dam
  • Island Next to Heliograph Heights
  • Eastern Barracks
  • The Crevice
  • Cave at the Frost Lake
  • Broken Bridge Spot
  • Watcher of the Passage Tower
  • Tower at Westwatch Keep

PVE Best Base Location

After players, the next big threat is the environment of the game. This consists of vicious animals and ginormous creatures such as dragons, Rhino, Gorilla, Mammoth, and many others as well. But, you don’t need to worry.

As a beginner, you have an opportunity to choose a location that will better protect you from the environment. For PVE, the base should be at someplace where there is less number of creatures or is inaccessible.

The best option for PVE base could be The Hand of the Maker. Here you can find a good amount of resources as well as some animals which can also be a great resource. Additionally, The Unnamed City is in the vicinity where you can beat the enemies to gain experience and capture fighter thralls. This is a pretty good location to gain experience and level up fast.

Moreover, you can choose other locations from the options below:

  • The Den
  • Cave in Savannah
  • The Mounds
  • Oasis of Nekhet
  • The Silkwood

How Many Bases Can You Build in Conan Exiles?

Multiple Bases in Conan

Generally, you can build multiple bases on the various locations on the map. However, you may have only 1 bed and bedroll. So, after you die the game will spawn you back at the base where you have placed the bed.

Having multiple bases can give you the advantage of storing a huge amount of items. Moreover, having bases across the maps can be useful when you visit the different regions. At some point, you will see that you made a good decision of building multiple bases around the map.

Do remember to have bases along the riverside or the areas which have plenty of resources. Or at least the basic resources such as wood, iron, water, etc.

Are There Cities in Conan Exiles?

Sepermeru The City of the Relic Hunters

If you are wondering whether there are modern cities in the game or not then the answer is no. There are no modern cities like you see in other games. Conan Exiles takes you back to the old days when there were buildings and houses built with either wood or stone.

You can find the cities in Conan Exiles such as Sepermeru The City of the Relic Hunters. It is also known as Set City, but here you will only see buildings and houses built with only using rocks and wood. There is no place on the map where you can find modern architecture.

The game lets you enjoy the taste of the old days and trains you to survive in the Exiles land. This is the game that lets you feel the way people lived back in days when there was no proper architecture and they used the resources around them to ensure their survival.
