Where to Find Golden Coconut Stardew Valley

What is a Golden Coconut

What is Golden Coconut

Anything golden automatically gives an impression that an item is rare and something that needs to be meticulously handled. For that reason, it is also just reasonable that the item will be a little difficult to discover and to let go of. Other than the gold currency in Stardew Valley, another example of it is the Golden Coconut.

The Golden Coconut is an item that you can find on Ginger Island. Just like a normal coconut, you can find it hanging on trees. But what’s special about Golden Coconut is that opening it reveals an item. Although it is a little difficult to find them on this tropical island, just think of it that you are collecting gifts for you to open a surprise item inside. Trust us, all items you can find inside the Golden Coconut will not disappoint you.

However, there is no chance for you to know the item inside right away. You will need to go first to one of your friends and ask him to open it for you. That being said, we wanted to help you find Golden Coconuts and open some good items through this guide.

Where to Find Golden Walnuts

Ginger Island

We all know already that coconuts are naturally tropical fruits. With that information, you will get an idea and a hunch of where Golden Coconuts can be found. If you think the answer is Ginger Island, you are correct!

This tropical island, Ginger Island, has a good and wide variety of vegetation. However, the most common type of vegetation that you will notice here are the banana and coconut trees. But of course, to get the Golden Coconut, you have to especially look for the coconut trees around the island.

Other than looking for coconut trees, there are also other ways you can find Golden Coconuts. That being said, here are other options you can consider while hanging around Ginger Island.

Shaking Palm Trees

The conventional way of acquiring Golden Coconuts is by shaking a palm tree. But you have to remember that not all palm trees that you will see will bestow you with a Golden Coconut. Sometimes, a Golden Coconut drops from the tree along with other coconuts. The trick here is to always try shaking palm trees especially those trees where you can visibly see coconut bearings. The reason for this is that palm trees with visible coconuts have a 10% chance of giving you a golden one.

Aside from shaking the trees, chopping them down also gives you a small possibility of receiving a Golden Coconut.

Exploring Artifact Spots

By this time, you are already probably well aware of the artifact spots. Here on Ginger Island, you will also find the artifact spots or the spots on the ground with twigs and worms sticking out. Once you see these, equip your hoe and use it to dig up the artifact.

You can find several artifact spots on Ginger Island, and the good thing about this is that each artifact spot has a 10% chance of giving you a Golden Coconut.

Ponds

Sometimes, looking for something does not require you to leave. This sometimes applies to collecting Golden Coconuts.

If you have already started establishing your farm, there is a high possibility that you already have at least one fish pond on your farm. These ponds are also a good source of various items depending on the type of fish inside them.

Blue Discus Pond

To get Golden Coconuts, make sure to have a fish pond with at least nine Blue Discus. Upon complying with this condition, you will have a 5% chance of harvesting a Golden Coconut from their pond each day.

If you are still trying to reach the population of nine, you can try spending your leisure time throwing your line in the ponds or rivers of Ginger Island regardless of the time and weather. So if you usually visit Ginger Island, there is a high possibility for you to easily catch nine of them.

Island Trader

When it comes to special and exclusive items of Ginger Island, there is only one character you can think of asking for help. It is none other than the Island Trader.

As a trader itself, the Island Trader will not accept your gold in exchange for a Golden Coconut. You still have to work for it and collect enough normal coconuts by shaking or chopping palm trees around.

To get one Golden Coconut, you have to trade 10 normal coconuts with the Island Trader. However, remember that you can only access and trade with the Island Trader if you have already unlocked it with 10 Golden Walnuts.

How to Open a Golden Coconut

As expected from any gold items, they are all sturdy. Similar to this Golden Coconut, the player cannot just have it and open it right away after picking it up. In order to crack this open and reveal the item inside, you will have to seek help from a professional.

Cracking open something might have reminded you of the geodes you collect from different map locations and dungeons. Similar to it, you will also have to go to Clint all the way back to Pelican Town. With the experience of being a Blacksmith for so long, Clint can guarantee that you will receive the item inside in no time.

When talking to Clint and when he is ready for the work, select the Golden Coconut to put it on the table. Wait until Clint is done, and voila!
