Haley Guide in Stardew Valley

Villagers can often be interacted with throughout your Stardew Valley games. You can do an assortment of things with them, including even marrying them! This Haley guide for Stardew Valley will show you everything you’ll need to know about Haley!

After reading throughout the end of this article, you will understand Haley way better. This guide will tell you about Haley’s schedule, likes and dislikes, heart events, and even her marriage.

Who is Haley in Stardew Valley?

You might think that villagers in Stardew Valley have static characters wherein they act normally as how usual NPCs are. But in Stardew Valley, the personalities of the villagers are pretty diverse.

Haley in Stardew Valley is a conceited and self-centered girl. What made her like this is because of her wealth and popularity throughout her high school life. If you happen to meet Haley, you might think that she is not an ideal friend because of her tendency to judge people because of lame and shallow reasons.

This popular girl, Haley in Stardew Valley, lives in Pelican Town at 2 Willow Lane. Her house can only be accessed between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm. However, you cannot enter her house she is inside and the door is locked.

Marriage With Villagers

Stardew Valley is a game about managing a farm given to you by your grandfather. This farm is located in a town called Pelican Town. Of course, a town will be dead if there are no villagers living in it.

Villagers are the NPCs of Stardew Valley. They have different personalities and characteristics which make them unique from each other. They also have their own stories to tell once you become friends with them.

What’s even more exciting is that more than being friends, you can also establish a relationship with some villagers – which can also lead to marriage.

There are specific villagers inside and outside of the town to whom you can get married. You will know if the villager is a marriage candidate if you look at the social tab and it says single. Then it is your go signal to establish a relationship with the specific villager.

However, you need to do specific tasks in order to maintain your relationships with co-villagers. And we will discuss it in the next section.

This gift guide for Haley will show you exactly what you should or shouldn’t give her.

Love

Among all the gifts that you can get for Haley, these items are ideal if you want to increase your friendship level with her.

Coconut, fruit salad, pink cake, and sunflower are the items that Haley loves. Aside from all these, she also loves all that falls under universal loves except for the prismatic shard.

Giving her any of these will make her say, Oh my god, this is my favorite thing!

Like

It will be quite easy to memorize the things that Haley likes. It would be just the daffodil, and all the universal likes except for the vegetables. After receiving any of these, she will say *gasp*…for me? Thank you!

Neutral

Now, it will be easier for you to know these. Everything under the universal neutrals is good with Haley, no exceptions. When she receives any of these, she will say Thank you. I love presents.

Dislike

This part will be a little different as Haley seems to dislike a lot of things. This includes chanterelle, common mushroom, dandelion, ginger, hazelnut, holly, leek, magma cap, morel, purple mushroom, quartz, snow yarn, and winter root. Aside from these, she also hates all eggs, all fruits except coconut, all milk, all vegetables except hops, tea leaves, and wheat, and all the universal dislikes other than clay and fish.

Don’t be surprised but if you mistakenly gave her any of these, she will respond with a, Ugh…that’s such a stupid gift.

Hate

If you didn’t like what Haley says upon receiving anything from her dislikes, then you must also avoid giving her any of these as she will call it gross!

All her hated items are the clay, prismatic shard, wild horseradish, all fish, and all universal hates.

Haley’s Heart Events Guide

Haley's Heart Events Guide

Heart events vary from one villager to another. Activating and finishing these events increases the number of hearts with each other. Take note that some actions that you will do in the heart events may or may not affect your friendship level. Because of this, you should think carefully about the response you are going to give.

Two Hearts

This event will trigger when you enter Haley’s house when she is there with her sister. You will find them arguing about who should clean the underside of the couch. You will see Emily getting furious because Haley refuses to clean it. Haley explains that she cleaned it up last week, and Emily will say that she thinks Haley is being childish.

Your mission is to resolve this fight between the sisters. You will be given three choices and all of them will affect your friendship.

Stop whining and just clean it! Choosing this as a response will deduct 50 from your friendship with Haley. This will also make Haley get furious and will angrily leave the room, leaving Emily to clean the cushions.

Emily, take the high road and do it this time. This time, it will deduct 30 from your friendship. Picking this will also make Haley mad at you as it will make her feel that you agree with Emily that she is acting childish.

Haley, why not have this be your one weekly job? As you pick this, both of the girls will agree – Haley won’t be ecstatic about this, though. Plus, choosing this will add 30 friendship points.

Four Hearts

This next event will trigger the next time you enter Haley’s house and she is inside. You will see Haley struggling to open a jar when you arrive there. Because of this, she will ask you if you are strong.

Yes. Answering with a yes will add 30 to your friendship level. Haley will also reply with a Great, then you shouldn’t have any problem opening this jar for me!

No. Saying no to her will deduct 30 to your friendship level. Plus, Haley will say Oh… you aren’t? Hmmmm… Well could you try opening this jar for me anyways?

After you finally open the jar, Haley will tell you that you are stronger than you look, regardless of your choice. The next day, she will tell you that she already found a tool that will help her open jars.

Six Hearts

For this event, you will have to go to the beach between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. This should be in any season other than winter. Once you arrive at the beach, you will see Haley crying over her lost bracelet.

Relax, I’ll just buy you a new one! Saying this will result in -30 friendships, and Haley will say No, you won’t! This bracelet was passed down to me by my great-grandmother!

I’m really sorry… Upon telling this to her, she will reply with a *sigh* …Maybe it’ll wash up on another shore. I can’t bear to think of it at the bottom of the ocean. This will also give a +50 friendship.

Eight Hearts

This will happen on one sunny day of any season except winter. Go to the Cindersap Forest from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. You are going to meet Haley at Marnie’s Ranch. As you arrive at the ranch, you will see Healey taking pictures. Eventually, she will ask you to take pictures with her. After that, Haley will ask you how to approach a cow. She will climb one and will fall off causing her to get covered in dirt. Because of that, she will go back home to wash.

The next day, you will receive a letter from Haley:

[Player],

I thought it would be fun to write you a note. I had so much fun with the cows yesterday… I’m starting to understand why you chose the farmer’s life! Hope to see you soon.

How to Marry Haley

Haley in Stardew Valley

The first step in getting married to Haley is to reach eight hearts in your friendship level. Even though you give her gifts and accompany her to her favorite shows, the number of hearts will stop at eight. In order to continue increasing the hearts, you must marry Haley. But before marrying her, you must propose first by giving her a bouquet and the mermaid’s pendant.

After your marriage, Haley will move to your farmhouse and will include an extra room for her. She will also set up a small garden behind your farmhouse. It is her place to take some pictures in her free time. At this point, the number of your hearts will have a maximum of 14. And of course, you must work for it to maintain this. You can do this by doing the additional heart events, talking to her, and still gifting her the things that she likes.

Ten Hearts

To activate this, you should go to her house when she is there. As you arrive, Haley will show you her dark room used in developing the photos that she took.

It looks great! Saying this will add 10 to your friendship level.

What does it do? Choosing this will have no effect on your friendship.

I’ve seen better. After saying this, 50 points will be deducted from your friendship level.

After choosing a response, Haley will ask you what you want to do next. Take note that any of the following responses will have no effect on your friendship.

Make an excuse and leave.

Offer to help decorate the dark room. When you choose this, Haley will be a little disappointed and then cutscene.

Try to kiss her. Picking this will make Haley say, Oh, [your name]… I’ve been waiting so long for you to do that. One moment… Then, she will turn off the lights leaving the whole room black except for the spot where you are both standing. After that, talking to her immediately will make her say, That was nice.

Fourteen Hearts

To achieve the maximum number of hearts, enter the town from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm when it’s not raining. After at least one day, go to the farmhouse from 6:20 am to 5:00 pm. Lastly, go to Pelican Town carrying a chocolate cake in your inventory. Make sure that it is not raining and it is between 6:00 am and 3:00 pm.
