How to Craft Edurus Potions in Hogwarts Legacy

Edurus potions are one of many combat potions in Hogwarts Legacy. This potion will turn the user’s skin into stone, increasing their defense drastically and allowing them to take more damage than they otherwise could. Paired with certain talents, this potion will also reflect projectiles at enemies.

In this guide, I will show you exactly how to craft the Edurus potion in Hogwarts Legacy and where to get the ingredients necessary.

In the Welcome to Hogsmeade quest, you can purchase the Edurus potion recipe for free, unlike many other potion recipes, which cost quite a bit of gold.

If you haven’t visited the potion shop yet, make sure to stop by. Also, grab the Floo Flame next to the shop! This will come in handy later.

To begin crafting the Edurus potion, you will need:

  • 1x Ashwinder Egg
  • 1x Mongrel Fur

After you get these ingredients, you can use the Room of Requirements potion stations or the potion station in Professor Sharps’s class.

During the main quests, you will have to craft an Edurus potion for potions class, so most of this is likely just a review. This is the quest where you can optionally help Garreth. But you’ll likely want to know how to make more since one of your assignments requires you to make both a Focus potion and an Erudus potion.

To find Ashwinder eggs, you can find them in the image above, inside the Feldcroft region. However, they are scattered all around the map as well. They are glowing orange eggs inside small nests.

Mongrel fur is much easier to find. You just have to defeat mongrels, and the fur will drop on the ground. Mongrels can be found easily in mongrel lairs. The image above shows an example of one such lair.

And that’s how you make Edurus potions and where to find the ingredients for them! As it is one of the first potions you are taught to make, it isn’t difficult. If you have any questions, drop them below!
