How to Farm Monkey Money BTD6

It’s usually a good idea to have a good supply of the game’s main currency before you dive in, and in Bloons Tower Defense 6, that currency is Monkey Money.

While Monkey Money in BTD6 isn’t the most difficult resource to amass in BTD6 (players get it for completing maps), there are ways to speed up the process and techniques to consider when using the money. In this guide, I will discuss the best ways to help you farm money in BTD6. So, let us start our article:

What is Monkey Money in BTD6?

BTD6’s alternate currency is called Monkey Money (MM). Players can earn it by finishing tracks or purchasing it in sets. If a player earns Monkey Money for completing a track and then replays the same track at the same difficulty, they will receive only 20% of the initial prize. You cannot load a previously completed game for further rewards.

You can spend Monkey Money in BTD6 on Special Agents, Powers, playing courses on the Extreme Difficulty level, unlocking Fast Track Mode, purchasing land for Specialty Buildings, building and upgrading said buildings, and purchasing one-time use Premium Upgrades. Main Street, Bloontonium Lab, and the Tar Pits currently make up the Extreme Difficulty playlist.

Ways to Collect Money Monkey in BTD6

Method#1: Purchase from Shop

Buying it from the in-game store is the most direct route to amassing Monkey Money. You shouldn’t rush out and buy Monkey Money because there are plenty of free methods to earn it.

The cheapest option costs $2.79 for 1,000 Monkey Money (may vary by area), yet the truth is that as soon as you get your foot in the door, Monkey Money will start flowing in.

Although the greatest deal for Monkey Money is $69.99 for 60,000 Monkey Money (which may vary by location), players can find greater margins daily through sales such as the one currently running for $16.99 for 16,000 Monkey Money.

Many more deals, such as those for Power Attack Packs, Insta Monkey Packs, Double Cash Modes, and Knowledge Points, rotate alongside these daily.

Method#2: Login Daily in the Game

Players of Bloons Tower Defense 6 may expect to obtain a variety of free daily goodies, including Powers and Insta Monkeys, and anything from 50 to 200 Monkey Money every time they log in.

Players should check in every day, even if they don’t plan on playing much that day, because every login earns a reward, and certain rewards are better than others.

Method#3: Completing New Tracks

If you want to get the most out of the tracks you beat, you should focus on finishing new tracks, or at least tracks you’ve already beaten that feature alternate game modes like Magic Monkeys Only or Primary Monkeys Only.

By investing in Mo’ Monkey Money Monkey Knowledge, players can boost their track earnings by 10%.

Method#4: Completing Race Events

Race Events are more challenging than Odyssey Mode, but higher-ranked players can earn a lot of Monkey Money weekly. Monkey Money is awarded to participants based on their finished position in Race Events.

  • 1st Prize – 1,000 Monkey Money
  • 2nd Prize – 750 Monkey Money
  • 3rd Prize – 500 Monkey Money
  • Top 50 – 450 Monkey Money
  • Top 1% – 400 Monkey Money
  • Top 10% – 300 Monkey Money
  • Top 25% – 200 Monkey Money
  • Top 50% – 100 Monkey Money
  • Top 75% – 50 Monkey Money

Method#5: Compete the Odyssey Mode

Since Odyssey Mode is a relatively recent addition to BTD6, players may be unaware of the profit potential it presents. However, the truth is that much of that profit will come from finishing new maps utilizing Odyssey Mode as the starting point.

So, let me clarify. Even though Odyssey Mode doesn’t provide players the most Monkey Money, they may expect to make a lot of it because the mode places them in several maps they might not have played before.

Players who complete Odyssey Mode on Easy receive 50 Monkey Money, while those who complete it on Medium receive 125 Monkey Money and those who complete it on Hard receive 200 Monkey Money.

Method#6: Achievements

Players should be aware that many achievements will give them a minimum of 100 Monkey Money. However, I wouldn’t exactly advocate players focusing solely on achievements because they involve quite a deal of playtime from a player.

However, the rewards for achieving goals are excellent, as you can earn up to 1,000 Monkey Coins! That’s a sweet deal and a significant increase in your revenue.

How Can you Spend your Monkey Money in BTD6

Method#1: Heroes

Investing in some top-tier Heroes is where I’d suggest you put your initial spending priorities. Since BTD6 Heroes will vary in price and may need some grinding to obtain, I have included an overview of the ones I consider to be the best:

  • Captain Churchill: 2,500 Monkey Money
  • Benjamin: 3,000 Monkey Money
  • Ezili: 3,000 Monkey Money
  • Pat Fusty: 3,000 Monkey Money
  • Adora: 5,000 Monkey Money
  • Admiral Brickell: 5,000 Monkey Money
  • Etienne: 5,000 Monkey Money

Method#2: Monkey Knowledge

It’s a toss-up between Heroes and Monkey Knowledge in my book, but Monkey Knowledge is a close second. Fortunately, players won’t have to spend Monkey Money on low-tier Monkey Knowledge.

Since the only free methods to obtain Monkey Knowledge Points are through completing Achievements and leveling up, they’ll have enough to invest in a few powerful heroes before deciding between them.

The price of Monkey Knowledge varies greatly, with level 4 costing 250 Monkey Money, level 5 costing 500 Monkey Money, and level 6 costing 1,000 Monkey Money.

Method#3: Powers

While some of the more potent abilities may cost as much as 200 Monkey Dollars, you may purchase most of them for as little as 20 MMD. Powers are one-time-only. Thus players need to think carefully before making a purchase.

Method#4: Hero Skins

You can purchase skins for Heroes after a player has acquired all of the Heroes they desire and has a sufficient supply of Powers.

Of course, I’ll be the first to confess that many of the skins appear uninspired for 2,500 Monkey Coins. But, a few have won me over, like Obyn Greenfoot‘s Ocean Guardian Skin.
