Auger is a tool that is used for mining purposes in 7 Days to Die, getting this tool isn’t that hard. You can actually get your hands on it through two different ways. Either look for it in a loot or craft it at your base.

As we have both options available that’s why it’s kinda easy to get Auger. Now, you can use Auger as a weapon as well, but it won’t do any high damage. Instead, its heat will attract more zombies.

But it is a powerful and quite useful tool. Almost every single time, you have cut down the rocks that appear while setting up the structure of your base. That’s the time when Auger comes in handy. It easily destroys all sorts of rocks and other stuff except wooden blocks.

Getting Auger in 7 Days to Die

Since the Auger can be found in the loot and can also be crafted, it has been so much easier to get it. If you are not looking to craft it then you can search Decayed Sedans, Working Stiff Crates, Garage Storage, and Bank Wall Safe to find it out.

Auger is mostly found within the cities. So, check out these spots in all four cities of Navezgane. You will easily find it.

Now, if you are ready to do a little extra effort, you can craft it right at your base. But for that, you have to gather the required items for its recipe. Here is the list of items.

  • 5x Motor Tool Parts
  • 1x Bicycle Handlebars
  • 1x Engine
  • 10x Forged Steel

You can learn its recipe from the schematic and then start crafting it into a Workbench with these items.

Auger needs fuel to operate. You can use Gas Cans to refuel it once it runs out of fuel. Usually, it automatically refuels if you have Gas Cans in your inventory or you can also do it manually by pressing the Reload button.

Use Auger cautiously as it produces heavy noise and heat. If it is used for longer time periods or multiple Augers are used at the same time it will attract nearby zombies and even the Screamer Zombies.
