Sacred Relic Sword Build

Players often avoid creating a Faith build in Elden Ring because they don’t know its true potential. Some even have the confidence to say that there aren’t many armaments available for a Faith character. However, all these are lies and rumors spread by those who don’t spend too much time in exploration. In reality, numerous weapons and gears are available in the Lands Between that rely on a Faith build.

For example, the Sacred Relic Sword in Elden Ring is a Greatsword designed for Faith/Dexterity characters. The weapon is so powerful that you can use it to take down multiple enemies at the same time. Moreover, you can even use it as a ranged weapon to attack several distant enemies within your radius. If you are excited about this weapon, here is the finest Sacred Relic Sword build that can help you complete the endgame sequence.

What is the Sacred Relic Sword

Requirements:

  • Strength: 14
  • Dexterity: 24
  • Faith: 22

Scaling:

  • Strength: E
  • Dexterity: D
  • Faith: D

Ability:

  • Wave of Gold

The Sacred Relic Sword in Elden Ring is a special Greatsword that is prescribed for attacking a group of enemies. It isn’t one of the most powerful weapons in the game, but its Weapon Art makes it a suitable choice when facing a large crowd.

According to legends, the sword was wrought from the remains of a god who should have lived an eternal life. It is a sign of a new world for some folks, while others consider it a tool for great sin and devastation. Still, it is a weapon of gods, making it a truly remarkable Greatsword to have in your inventory.

The Sacred Relic Sword isn’t quite useful in one on one fights and for facing the bosses in Elden Ring. However, its special Weapon Art, the Wave of Gold, makes it a must-have weapon for facing the weaker enemies. When you activate this skill, the Tarnished charges the sword with bygone golden glory and fans it towards the foes inside a large radius.

All the foes inside the attack radius experience Holy damage. The extent of damage is inversely proportional to the distance from the epicenter. For instance, the enemies closest to you will get maximum damage, and the farthest one will experience the minimum. In short, if you are looking for a weapon to use on weaklings near the endgame sequence, I suggest that you go for the Sacred Relic Sword.

Best Sacred Relic Sword Build

Best Sacred Relic Sword Build

The Sacred Relic Sword in Elden Ring is a versatile Greatsword that goes well with all sorts of builds. However, its scaling shows that the sword was created to support a Faith/Dexterity build. For this reason, you must start with a relative class at the beginning of the story.

Apart from that, everyone has a different taste for the overall build. So, after a thorough study of all the options, I have combined the finest elements from each to create the perfect Sacred Relic Sword in Elden Ring build for you.

Moreover, some items required for this build are available in the first phase, some in the mid-game sequence, and others near the endgame phase. So, it would be best to read this guide and make a list of all the items before you reach the First Step Site of Grace. Secondly, it is my version of a perfect build, so you are free to make your own changes according to your playing style. Without any further delay, here are all the things you need to create a Sacred Relic Sword build in Elden Ring:

Stats

Like all other weapons in Elden Ring, you must meet the minimum requirements to wield the sword. Fortunately, the wielding requirements of the Sacred Relic Sword aren’t as high, considering it is available near the endgame phase. So, you will face little to no problems in that area. Still, it would be best to keep an eye on the requirements and scaling when upgrading your character attributes before you earn this Greatsword.

To get an idea, say you choose the Prophet class at the start of the game. So, you will start with 16 Faith, 11 Strength, and 10 Dexterity. So, you must focus on getting at least 22 Faith, 24 Dexterity, and 14 points in Strength before you trade the remembrance with Enia.

Considering the scaling sequence, the Sacred Relic Sword scales primarily with Faith and Dexterity. Here, the Dexterity portion is the most crucial as it directly affects the power of the Weapon Art. Secondly, you must focus on Arcane too, as most items for this build scale with it.

Your secondary focus should be on upgrading Vigor, Faith, and Endurance. The Vigor grants you extra HP, Faith increases your FP for casting the Weapon Art, and Endurance ensures that you have enough stamina and resistance for all battles. To sum it up, here is a definitive list of all stats that you must have to create this build:

  • Arcane: 51
  • Dexterity: 55
  • Endurance: 30
  • Faith: 25
  • Intelligence: 9
  • Mind: 26
  • Strength: 24
  • Vigor: 45

Furthermore, it is not important to have all these stats before getting the sword. In other words, you can get the sword as soon as you meet the minimum requirements and start upgrading as the story progresses. Secondly, the side quests are great for getting the necessary gear and earning a few character level Runes every now and then. So, it is undoubtedly beneficial to divert from the main story whenever you get the chance.

Recommended Weapons

The Sacred Relic Sword is the primary weapon for the build. Otherwise, you won’t be reading this guide at all. The sword’s physical power isn’t good enough for the endgame sequence. It won’t be wrong to say that its magic powers and the Holy damage are the main stars. So, you must have a second gear to deal some extra damage or boost the first one in different situations.

Therefore, I suggest that you get a suitable incantation staff or seal for your left hand. In my opinion, the Golden Order Seal is a debatable candidate for the build. The item will grant your character a boost in all Golden Order Fundamentalist incantations. However, if you would like to add a little brute force to the picture, I suggest that you use any weapon of your choice.

Recommended Armor

The armor plays an important role in any build. It grants you resistance against various elements that would otherwise compromise your strategies. So, you must carefully study all options before choosing the most crucial element for your character build.

I recommend that you acquire Hoslow’s armor set for creating this Sacred Relic Sword build. It grants you ultimate protection against physical damage, piercing, and negates all effects that can compromise your ability to use the Weapon Art. However, you must clear the Volcano Manor quest line to get this item. So, you can use any medium armor if you get the sword before visiting this location.

Recommended Spells

Spells play an important role in any Faith/Dexterity build. Moreover, your attacking strategy is what decides the outcome of any spell combination. So, it is up to you to master all incantations and understand the damaging effect of various combinations using trial and error.

Still, the Wrath of God, Erdtree Heal, Golden Vow, and the Flame Grant Me Strength are the recommended spells for this build. You can use the required spells depending on the situation. Secondly, the Flask of Wondrous Physick grants you additional 1000 damage for any combination.

For this build, I have tried various spell/incantation combinations before coming to a conclusion. When you use the Flame Grant Me Strength spell with the Golden Vow before triggering the Wave of Gold Weapon Art, your total damage output will be 2750 points.

Additionally, if you use the Flask of Wondrous Physick in the equation, your total damage output will become 3750 points. If the enemies have little to no resistance against Holy damage, you can expect even more damage from your attacks.

Similarly, you can also try the combination of the Golden Order Seal and the Wrath of God spell. The total damage output will be 2258 when using the Weapon Art. Additionally, if you use the Flask of Wondrous Physick in the equation, your total damage output will become 2750 points.

Lastly, you can use the Erdtree Heal to restore your HP as it scales perfectly with Faith and Dexterity. However, you must rely on your armor set, as your character is vulnerable to attacks when initiating the Wave of Gold weapon skill.

Recommended Talismans

Last but not least, talismans are extremely important to make this build work. As a matter of fact, all Elden Ring builds rely on various talismans to get that extra boost in your attacks. For this Sacred Relic Sword build, I recommend that you get the Sacred Scorpion Charm, Flock Canvas, Marika’s Soreseal, and the Shard of Alexander talismans.

The first two are crucial for negating the damage penalty and increasing the effect of various incantations. On the other hand, the Shard of Alexander and Sacred Scorpion Charm will increase the damage output of the Wave of Gold Weapon Art. In short, you must equip these talismans in combinations so that you get the desired results according to the situation.
