Stardew Valley: Trash Bear Guide

Who is the Trash Bear

A beautiful, peaceful, and cozy place like Pelican Town is something that must be highly taken care of in order to maintain its splendor. However, trash and garbage are inevitable to be seen in random areas. Even though garbage cans are present in some map areas, some stubborn mess can still be found. Luckily, we have the Trash Bear in town.

Trash Bear

The Trash Bear is a friendly neighborhood that can help you in preserving nature, especially the green sceneries in Pelican Town. Initially, you will notice that some areas of the map have garbage scattered around. No one wants to see this type of view, so we want to help you complete the Trash Bear side quest.

This guide will provide you with all the important information regarding the Trash Bear side quest including the time it appears and all the requests you have to make to make the bear happy.

When Does Trash Bear Appear

During your earlier days and years residing in Stardew Valley, the Trash Bear will not yet appear in any areas of the map. However, you can already spot the areas with trash, especially the clump of garbage in front of Pam’s front yard if you go to her trailer home.

As you reach your 3rd Year in the town, the Trash Bear will appear on the map. However, you can only find it during non-rainy days.

Trash Bear’s Location

Meeting the Trash Bear is something that you should not be scared of. Even though it appears as a huge bear, it is quite welcoming and warm. Plus, you can easily locate its location by simply walking over to the Cindersap Forest.

To specifically point out its location, just take the south path of Marnie’s Ranch. Upon walking past it, you will find a wooden bridge that will take you to the other side of the forest. Keep heading south until you see the Spring Onion patch that shows up in spring seasons. Once you see this, move closer to the wooden stairs going to the entrance of The Sewers. From this position, you will easily see the Trash Bear sitting next to a bush.

Trash Bear’s Requests

Requests from Trash Bear

Once you finally see the Trash Bear, move next to it and interact with the bear to start the side quest. Upon doing so, a conversation bubble will pop above its head showing you random items that you can either find, produce, or obtain. Yes, there will be random items which means that the items are not just a one-time delivery. In fact, it is a series of four requests that you have to give it in order for him to help you clean the town using its magical powers.

Although it will be a bunch of requests, the good thing about this side quest is that it does not have a limited time for you to finish it. In fact, the bear will request two items categorized per season—plus two cooked dishes—so you will have the whole season to gather, produce, or harvest it.

However, if you fail to deliver the items for that season, the request will disappear and a new request for that season will reappear once the said season comes again.
