Adamantine Forge Moulds Locations

Adamantine Forge is quite a useful machine in Baldur’s Gate 3. This can only be used once you have all the required items such as the moulds and Mithril Ore. The locations of all the moulds for Adamantine Forge are actually within the Grymforge.

This makes it easier to get all of those moulds. There are a total of 6 moulds that you can collect and use on Adamantine Forge. All 6 moulds are scattered around the Grymforge. If this is your first time visiting the Grymforge then chances are high that you might not find all of them easily.

You will find some of the moulds right on your path when you are moving toward the Adamantine Forge. While to find the remaining ones, you are going to explore a few hidden spots. Finding those spots is the main focus of today’s guide.

Now, as we know Mithril Ore is another important item that is required to craft your weapons and armor at Adamantine Forge. So, keeping that in mind we are gonna tell you two spots in Grymforge from where you can extract Mithril Ore.

Adamantine Forge Weapons & Armors Moulds Locations

Grymforge is the place where Adamantine Forge is located. This is an underground location in Underdark, an entirely different place than the main world map of Baldur’s Gate 3. The moulds are hidden within the Grymforge.

The only way to find those moulds is by exploring the dark spots and unexplored areas. But, for beginners, it could be a little tricky to reveal all those spots as there are a few tricks involved to get there.

However, you shouldn’t be worrying because we have got you covered. Down below you will find the exact coordinates of each of those moulds. By following the coordinates you will get to the exact location where you can pick up the moulds.

Longsword Mould

To get the Longsword Mould, you have to reach the coordinates X-Axis: -625 and Y-Axis: 410. These coordinates will take you to a bit northern side of Grymforge’s center. Upon reaching the spot, look for a skeleton lying on the ground. Just beside the skeleton, you will see the Longsword Mould.

By using the Longsword Mould, you can craft the Adamantine Longsword. This is a perfect weapon for any tough battle. Adamantine Longsword is a rare quality weapon that has a range of 1.5m.

Mace Mould

The second mould that you can get is Mace Mould. To get this mould, you have to reach the coordinates X-Axis: -609 and Y-Axis: 284. By following these coordinates, you will reach a spot that is close to the Ancient Forge Waypoint.

Once you are at the coordinates, look for a table. Right on to that table, you can see Mace Mould. Pick it up and you are good to go. This mould is gonna let you craft Adamantine Mace. This is another powerful weapon that can come in handy during long fights.

Shield Mould

To get this Shield Mould, you will have to reach the coordinates X-Axis: -559 and Y-Axis: 410. These coordinates will take you to the Northeastern side of the Grymforge. Here, you have to go through the double doors.

These doors are locked, which means you must pick the lock first. Behind the doors, take the stairs and head to the back of the room where you will find a skeleton. Loot the skeleton to collect Shield Mould. With this mould, you can craft an Adamantine Shield which is equipped by your character. This saves you from lethal damage from your enemy.

Scale Mail Mould

This is another mould used to craft armor. This mould is found by heading to the coordinates X-Axis: -621 and Y-Axis: 260. These coordinates take you to a place which is on the Southwest of Grymforge.

The place is full of threats, be prepared to fight with Animated Armours. Once you have cleared the area look for the mould just on the ground and you can easily collect it from there. Once you have the mould, you can craft for yourself an armor at the Adamantine Forge.

Scimitar Mould

Scimitar Mould is found at the coordinates X-Axis: -607 and Y-Axis: 322. These coordinates will take you to a place where you can see a movable platform that is hanging. After you have crossed the platform, look for a table that has levers on it.

Close to that table, a skeleton can be seen. That skeleton is our target, loot the skeleton and you will get Scimitar Mould. Now, you can use it to craft an Adamantine Scimitar at the Adamantine Forge. Scimitar is one of the best melee weapons in the game. It’s a rare and quite powerful weapon that you can get in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Splint Mould

This is the last mould of all six. To get this mould, you must reach the coordinates X-Axis: -597 and Y-Axis: 309. These coordinates will take you to the Northeast of the Underdark near the Ancient Forge.

There will be a skeleton on the ground. Check out the nearby area of the skeleton to find the Splint Mould. Once you have got the mould get back to Adamantine Forge and use it with Mithril Ore to craft Adamantine Splint Armor. This will protect you from the incoming damage. Great for battles in which you have to face high-level threats.

Mithril Ore Locations

Mithril Ore is another important item that you must collect before using the Adamantine Forge. Surprisingly, you don’t have to go too far or explore any locations out of the Grymforge. You can find two veins of Mithril Ore within the Grymforge.

All you need to do is simply find the veins and keep attacking them until their HP reaches 0. Once that happens, you can collect the Mithril Ore. But, damaging the veins requires a specific attacking technique.

First Mithril Ore Location

The first Mithril Vein is safe and you can visit this spot without needing to engage in any sort of fight. This vein is located near the Ancient Forge. Traverse to the Southwest area from the Ancient Forge Waypoint. Keep on moving until you see lava that is running down from the rocky path.

From here, jump across the lava and reach the other side. This is the place where you can see the large vein of blue rock. That’s the Mithril Vein. The only way to damage the vein is by using attacks that can cause bludgeoning damage.

This vein is immune to all other attack types. Once you have fully destroyed the node, collect all the Mithril Ore and return back to the Adamantine Forge.

Second Mithril Ore Location

This second location has a little bit of enemy threat. The second spot is accessible near the Ancient Forge, there is a stair that leads down to the forge. Reaching the lower level, you can see blue ore right in front of you. Jump over the lava and get to the opposite side.

As you make it to the other side, the threats will spawn and you have to kill them in order to mine the ore from its vein. They are low-level threats so you can easily finish them off.

Where to Find Adamantine Forge BG3?

The Adamantine Forge is located in the Grymforge which is in the Underdark. This is the deepest part of Baldur’s Gate 3 and is completely different from the main map of the game. Underdark has its own questline that you can complete anytime. It’s a fun and challenging set of quests that can also reward you with some great items.

As for the Adamantine Forge, it has a bit challenging path. Your journey to Adamantine Forge starts from the Grymforge Teleport Waypoint. From there, you will have to make your way through the blocked cave. This cave takes you to a place that has a few platforms.

Once you make it through the movable platforms, you will reach the Adamantine Forge. Here, you will need to use the required items to craft weapons and armor. Also, you will have to kill Grym Boss to finish up the crafting process.

What is the Best Mould for the Adamantine Forge?

There are a total of 6 moulds that you can use in Adamantine Forge. The moulds such as Longsword Mould, Shield Mould, Splint Mould, Scimitar Mould, Scale Mail Mould, and Mace Mould are available for the crafting process.

All of these moulds are great and together they make a perfect set of gears for any of your characters. Although the best one is Mace or Longsword. Both of these are weapons that are perfect for any intense battle. But, it’s all up to your choice and preference to choose the mould.

Where Can I Find Adamantine Shield Mould?

The Adamantine Shield Mould is found on the Northeastern side of the Grymforge. The coordinates for the exact spot of this mould are X-Axis: -559 and y-Axis: 410.

This spot has locked double doors. Upon unlocking the doors you will see a staircase that takes you to a room. Right at the back of the room look for a skeleton. Loot the skeleton to collect the Shield Mould.
