Diablo 4: Best Aspects for Necromancers

Necromancer is probably one of the darkest classes in the game. They are strong enough to deal with any situation themselves. Moreover, if you need an extra hand, you can always rely on your trustworthy Minions. Still, you may feel like your character build is missing that one thing that some other class has. If that is the case, then you can always count on your Aspects.

However, with 100s of options on hand, choosing the best ones can seem a bit overwhelming. Therefore, this article discusses the top 15 best Aspects for Necromancer class, their effects, and how to find them in Diablo 4.

Best 15 Aspects for Necromancer Class:

Aspects in Diablo 4 are buffs that you can find throughout the Sanctuary and apply to any piece of gear. These buffs can turn any ordinary piece of equipment into a Legendary Item. Furthermore, you can also find Legendary gear items and extract their Aspects to use with other items. But do you have the time to test out all available Aspects to choose the best ones for your character build? Of course not!

So, here’s my list of the top 15 best Aspects for Necromancer, their locations, and how they can improve your build.

Flesh-Rending Aspect:

Flesh-Rending Aspect

Effect:

You will gain 20 to 40 Essence whenever Decompose spawns a Corpse (Minion).

Flesh Rending is one of the most useful Aspects of any Necromancer build. Necromancers mainly depend on Essence for casting various skills and spells. Furthermore, you will be using the Decompose ability more often than you think. So, with this Aspect active, you will gain 10 extra Essence whenever the Decompose spawns a corpse. Another good news is that the Decompose will spawn a corpse after every 2.5 seconds, and you can get even more bonuses by upgrading to Advanced Decompose. In short, it is the best early game Aspect that you can gift to your character build.

You can acquire the Flesh-Rending Aspect from the Nostrava Deepwood dungeon in Fractured Peaks, or you can extract it from a Legendary Item.

Aspect Of Grasping Veins:

Aspect Of Grasping Veins

Effect:

With this Aspect, you will gain a 10% to 20% better chance of landing a Critical Strike for 6 seconds whenever you cast the Corpse Tendrils. Furthermore, enemies affected by the spell will get 30% to 60% more damage from Critical Strikes.

Corpse Tendrils is already an overpowered ability in Diablo 4. Fortunately, you can further boost your bonuses by activating the Aspect of Grasping Veins. Basically, it will grant you 2 extra bonuses. Firstly, it increases your chances of laying a Critical Strike from any form of attack. Secondly, it increases the Critical Strike damage on all affected foes. Now, Corpse Tendrils has a massive radius and a 9 seconds cooldown timer. So, you can expect to land Critical Strikes on all your foes, even when you are up against hundreds of enemies in the game.

You can acquire the Aspect of Grasping Veins by visiting the Corrupted Grotto area in Kehjistan, or you can extract it from a Legendary Item.

Aspect Of Inner Calm:

Aspect Of Inner Calm

Effect:

Get a 5% to 10% damage boost for every second you stand still.

While most character classes are based on speed and maneuverability, Necromancers tend to play it smart. Most of the time, you won’t need to move around a lot while casting spells or watching your Minions bring chaos. So, why not use this tactic to your advantage? That’s exactly what you can achieve with the Aspect of Inner Calm. While it is useful in almost every conflict, it becomes impractical when you are up against a boss that constantly follows you around. Still, it is great to know that you are winning the game, even by just standing still for a few seconds.

You can acquire the Aspect of Inner Calm by exploring the Raethwind Wilds in Scosglen or extracting it from a Legendary item.

Rotting Aspect:

Rotting Aspect

Effect:

Decompose will chain 2 additional targets, and you also get a 30% to 60% chance of spawning a corpse under all nearby targets.

Decompose is already the go-to skill for every Necromancer build. It is a powerful basic skill that slows down your targets, spawns corpses, and grants you extra Essence. Moreover, you can further polish this ability by combining it with the Rotting Aspect. Doing so will grant you additional corpses after every 2.5 seconds; add the Flesh Rending Aspect to the equation, and you get an unlimited Essence boost.

However, the only way to acquire the Rotting Aspect is to extract it from a Legendary Item.

Aspect of Shielding Storm:

Aspect of Shielding Storm

Effect:

You will gain a 2% to 5% barrier for 10 seconds every time the Bone Storm damages an enemy.

While Necromancers are the strongest builds in the game, you still need to focus on some form of protection. That’s where the Aspect of Shielding Storm steps in to save the day. With this Aspect active, you will gain an additional barrier whenever the Bone Storm hits an enemy. The Bone Storm skill already has a huge radius and damages several enemies in one go. So, you will always end up with more barrier points than you need to survive the battle.

Again, you can only acquire the Aspect of Shielding Storm by extracting it from a Legendary Item.

Aspect of Potent Blood:

Aspect of Potent Blood

Effect:

Blood Orbs will grant you 10 to 20 Essence when you are at max health.

Maintaining the balance between HP and Essence can seem like a tedious task when playing as a Necromancer. Sometimes, you may start feeling as if the blood orbs are getting wasted because you are on full HP. Well, you can shift the balance and gain extra Primary Resources by activating the Aspect of Potent Blood. With this Aspect, all blood orbs that you collect at full HP will convert into Essence Points, and trust me, you will be dropping a lot of them in the battles.

You can acquire the Aspect of Potent Blood by completing the Betrayer’s Row Town in Dry Steppes, or you can extract it from Legendary Items.

Aspect Of Reanimation:

Aspect Of Reanimation

Effect:

Your summoned Skeletons will deal 20% to 30% higher damage after 10 seconds.

The Aspect of Reanimation may not seem to do much on paper, but it can easily turn the tide of any battle. Skeletons are the Minions that you can get from various spells. Usually, they have weaker attacks but can survive the hordes for a long time. So, with the Aspect, you can overcome this flaw and turn your Skeletons into unstoppable killing machines. While it works for most Skeletons, the only exception is the Blood Mages that stick around for about 7 seconds. Still, if your build mainly relies on summoning, you must add this one to your list.

You can acquire the Aspect of Reanimation by clearing the Aldurwood Forrest in Scosglen, or you can extract it from a Legendary Item.

Sacrificial Aspect:

Sacrificial Aspect

Effect:

It boosts the Sacrifices Bonuses by 15% to 25%.

The Sacrificial Aspect is probably the best one if you prefer the Sacrifice Bonuses over Minions. Basically, you can yield various boosts by sacrificing your own summons. However, such a build is only recommended for experienced players or when you reach at least the mid-game sequence. Even then, it would be best to at least keep your Golem. Still, if you don’t care about sacrificing your helpers, add this Aspect to your inventory.

You can acquire the Sacrificial Aspect by clearing the Ruins of Eridu Fortress in Hawezar.

Requiem Aspect:

Requiem Aspect

Effect:

+3 to +5 maximum Essence points per active Minion (Skeleton).

The Requiem Aspect may not seem like a big deal initially, but it can boost your confidence. Necromancers use Essence as their Primary Resource for casting various skills and spells. While the Essence Bar regenerates, and you can boost the regeneration rate, you will still run out of it every time. That’s where the Requiem Aspect will come to your aid. As a Necromance, you can summon 3 Skeleton Mages, 3 Skeleton Warriors, and 1 Golem simultaneously. So, that’s 24 extra Essence points for you. Moreover, you can further increase the output with various upgrades and go with the Skirmisher variant.

You can acquire the Requiem Aspect by completing the Vault of the Forsaken dungeon in Scosglen, or you can extract it from a Legendary Item.

Aspect Of Plunging Darkness:

Aspect Of Plunging Darkness

Effect:

Your Bone Prison will summon a Blight that inflicts 50% to 100% to all entrapped enemies for 6 seconds.

The Aspect of Plunging Darkness is among the underrated Necromancer Aspects. The Bone Prison is mainly a Crowd Control skill that entraps multiple enemies without dealing any damage. Even at the maximum upgrade level, you can barely do any damage with it alone. However, when you combine it with this Aspect, things get a bit serious. All enemies entrapped within these traps will get up to 100% Blight damage without costing you a dime.

During the Hammer of the Champion side quest, you can acquire the Aspect of Plunging Darkness by clearing the Rimescar Cavern in Fractured Peaks.

Blood-Soaked Aspect:

Blood-Soaked Aspect

Effect:

Your movement speed is no longer reduced when using the Blood Mist skill. Moreover, the Blood Mist will remain for 4 seconds, and all entrapped enemies will get Shadow Damage for every second.

The Blood-Soaked Aspect is one of the few abilities that cause Shadow Damage with Blood skills, much like Rogue Aspects. Normally, your movement speed will be reduced by 20% whenever you use the Blood Mist skill. Fortunately, with this Aspect active, not only can you move at normal speed to spread maximum Blood Trail, but also all entrapped enemies will receive X% Shadow Damage. So, it’s a win-win situation for almost all Necromancer Hybrid Builds.

The only way to acquire the Blood-Soaked Aspect is to extract it from a Legendary Item that already has it.

Blood-Bathed Aspect:

Blood-Bathed Aspect

Effect:

Blood Surge’s nova returns after a few seconds of delay, causing about 30% of the original damage.

The Blood Surge is probably one of the most favorite spells of all Necromancers. It is a reliable source of dealing maximum damage while healing yourself. So, you can further improvise this already perfect spell by combining it with the Blood-Bathed Aspect. With this Aspect, the Blood Surge’s nova will return an echo, causing 30% of the original damage while retaining all other benefits. So, it gives you the best opportunity to quickly heal yourself and even get 20% more damage with the Supernatural Blood Surge.

You can acquire the Blood-Bathed Aspect by clearing the Hoarfrost Demise dungeon in Fractured Peaks.

Coldbringer’s Aspect:

Coldbringer's Aspect

Effect:

Your Cold Skeleton Mages will cast a Cold Blizzard after every 10 seconds that Chills the enemies for 6 seconds and inflicts Frost Damage.

Most Necromancer Builds are restricted to physical and Shadow Damages only. However, the Cold Skeleton Mage brings another damage form to your inventory, usually suitable against fire foes. The only problem is that these Minions aren’t strong enough to deal with a large horde of enemies. Fortunately, by activating the Coldbringer’s Aspect, you can overcome this flaw by Freezing all nearby foes with a Blizzard lasting for 6 seconds, more than enough to deal with the whole party.

You can only acquire the Coldbringer’s Aspect by extracting it from a Legendary Item.

Aspect of Untimely Death:

Aspect of Untimely Death

Effect:

You will gain a maximum of 20% to 60% bonus on Overpowering Attacks by stacking a 0.5% bonus for each percentage of HP you gain beyond 100%.

Necromancers are never short on HP as they can constantly regenerate HP by consuming Blood Orbs. You will drop numerous orbs by engaging in battle. So, once you stop losing too much HP, you can convert the additional orbs into Essence Points with the Aspect of Potent Blood. Alternatively, you can charge your Overpowering Attacks by activating the Aspect of Untimely Death; the choice is yours.

You can acquire the Aspect of Untimely Death by extracting it from a Legendary Item that already has it.

Unyielding Commander’s Aspect:

Unyielding Commander's Aspect

Effect:

When the Army of the Dead is active, your Minions take 90% less damage and gain 70% to 100% Attack Speed.

The Unyielding Commander’s Aspect is probably the best Aspect to have for a Necromancer build that mainly relies on Minions. By activating this Aspect, your Minions will become unstoppable killing machines for the whole 7 seconds of the Army of the Dead. While it may seem small, 7 seconds are more than enough for your Skeletons to tear the world apart with this special buff. Meanwhile, the Army of the Dead will bombard your enemies with exploding Skeletons, and the Requiem Aspect will generate free Essence for you.

You can acquire the Unyielding Commander’s Aspect by completing the Faceless Shrine dungeon in Hawezar.

Conclusion:

No character build in Diablo 4 is complete without a bunch of Aspects to support your build. Now there are 5 different classes in the game, and each has a variety of unique Aspects. For instance, you can choose from over 60 Aspects when playing as a Necromancer. All this complexity can be overwhelming for most players. Therefore, this article discusses the top 15 best Aspects for Necromancer in Diablo 4, their benefits, and how to acquire them.
