If you’re like me and wanted to hop straight into becoming a mage in New World, you are probably wondering, how do I get a fire staff in New World?
Well, to get a fire Staff in New World, you will have to craft it at the Arcana (fancy magic crafting station). From what I can tell, you don’t get a fire staff from any quest in the starter line.
Obviously, this is mildly frustrating. Especially since you get almost every other weapon in the game during the starter quests, which you then get to try out and decide whether you enjoy the playstyle. The Fire Staff is even one of the best weapons in the game. But, for whatever reason, Amazon decided not to give you a fire staff.
Thankfully, in this guide, I’ll be showing you exactly how to craft a fire staff in New World.
How to Craft a Fire Staff in New World
First, you need to gather materials. Here are the materials needed for crafting a fire staff in New World:
- 12 Metal Ingots
- 8 Wood
- 6 Fire Motes
This is for the most basic fire staff, aka the iron fire staff, but the materials should be relatively similar when you make a stronger version.
You also might be wondering, like I did, what the hell a Fire Mote is. Basically, you have to harvest a specific plant to get one of these (and you need six!). I have a guide on how to get fire motes so check that out if you’re curious.
Most of these materials can be bought in the trading post, so if you can’t be bothered to gather, just use your hard-earned cash and get you some fire motes.
Where to Craft a Fire Staff in New World?
The place to craft a fire staff in New World is the Arcana, or otherwise known as the Arcane Repository.
You can find one in any major city. They are usually right next to all the other crafting stations although some can be found on the outskirts of the town.
And that is exactly how to get a fire staff in New World. As you can see, it really isn’t that complicated and just takes a few minutes of your time if you choose to go the trading post route.
