Where is the Flower Dance in Stardew Valley

What Is the Flower Dance in Stardew Valley?

Considering how building relationships is one of the unspoken objectives in Stardew Valley, the game grants several opportunities for you to be able to work on your relationships with the villagers. They usually come in form of events such as birthdays and festivals.

One of these may events where you can gain friendship points with the townies is the Flower Dance in Stardew Valley that takes place on the 24th day of Spring, between 9 am and 2 pm. Alongside Egg Festival, it is one of the special events during the Spring. It is also one of the days in Stardew Valley where every home and shop is locked and inaccessible.

The Flower Dance in Stardew Valley, as the name implies, entails dancing with one of the bachelors or bachelorettes. Creating a chance for you to fortify your relationship or even help you find a prospective romantic partner.

To remind you of the upcoming gathering, you will receive a mail from Mayor Lewis. So, a day before the event proper. In the same letter, it is mentioned that you can prepare to find a partner as well as the time and location for the event. As stated in the letter, it is held by the “little clearing beyond the forest west of the town”. However, the place stated seems to be quite vague so actually going there might pose a little…challenging.

Going to the Flower Dance

Arriving at the venue of the Flower Dance in Stardew Valley is a little tricky since the place where it is held is only accessible during this special holiday. So, you might wonder why you haven’t had even a glimpse of the place upon wandering throughout Stardew Valley.

To actually attend the celebration, you have to enter the Cindersap Forest particularly by going to the western region of the town, then the southern part of the farming area. You would then spot two pink trees just below a water body; a path is visible between them.

Upon proceeding to the path between the trees, you will be teleported to a green field wherein two colorful rails are positioned. On the left side, you will find a bridge that used to be broken but is now fixed. This bridge is actually located south of the Wizard’s Tower. Just cross this bridge and voila! You are now an attendee of the Flower Dance.

Finding a Partner in the Flower Dance

Where is the Flower Dance in Stardew Valley - Finding a partner

Finding a Partner in the Flower Dance

True to its name, the Flower Dance in Stardew Valley is just all about dancing. Nothing complicated, isn’t it? However, dancing with a partner might be a quite different story. First of all, finding a partner could be a little difficult since there are some requirements that should be met.

Before the Flower Dance

In the Flower Dance, you will gain 250 friendship points which also amounts to 1 heart in the friendship meter of the bachelor or bachelorette that you had danced with. But, to be able to dance with anyone, you need to improve your relationship beforehand.

If you are still quite unfamiliar with some of the villages, the bachelors are Eliott, Harvey, Shane, Alex, Sam, and Sebastian. While, the bachelorettes are Leah, Maru, Emily, Haley, Penny, and Abigail.

To keep yourself from getting rejected by someone during the Flower Dance, you have to ensure that you have achieved 4 hearts in your friendship level. It would be very efficient if you have a partner in mind so you can solely focus on raising your friendship level with him/her.

You can interact with them more often, give them gifts that they would absolutely love. Also, help them with some of their requests such as delivering an item. You can also invite them to movies and make good choices during the cutscenes.

Nevertheless, if you are still uncertain who you would want to dance with during the event, working on reaching 4 hearts with all of the 12 bachelors and bachelorettes is plausible, though it could be a little burdensome since, of course, you would need to win the favor of all those twelve.

During the Flower Dance

In the event proper, as you gather with the townspeople at the venue of the Flower Festival, is the only time you can ask someone to be your pair during the dance. But, don’t be too hasty and take things slow.

Assuming that you had reached a 4-heart friendship level with the one you want to dance with. Then, you have to first set up the mood before you ask them to dance with you. You must talk to them until “Ask <name> to be your dance partner?” appears.

Normally, it takes two approaches before this dialogue pops up. After you confirm this and you have your required friendship level, you do not have to worry about being a mere bystander during the dance. Once you talk to Mayor Lewis, the dance would then begin.

To add more, it is still possible to dance with another person even if you are married and this would also be the case for your spouse. Lastly, if you happen to invite an ex-partner for a dance, she/he would definitely be unhappy and flatly turn you down.

Pierre’s Shopping Booth

The Flower Dance in Stardew Valley event, although focuses on gathering, dancing, and building good relationships, is also a chance for you to grab one of Pierre’s goodies.

As soon as you enter the location for the Flower dance, you would have, undoubtedly spotted a booth. Pierre set up his booth which offers spring-themed items, mostly decorative plants and flowers.

Specifically, he sells two kinds of ornamental Seasonal Plants, Seasonal Decor, Tub o’ Flowers, Daffodil, Dandelion, Wall Flower, S. Wall Flower, and two kinds of Ceiling Leaves. He also offers a recipe for the Tub o’ Flowers and the Rarecrow #5.
