Where To Find Meteorite Staff

The Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring is one of the best weapons in the game for those that prefer a mage build. It doesn’t look very strong or remarkable as a weapon, but the Staff is extremely helpful when taking down mid-game bosses. This is mainly due to excellent scaling with Intelligence. This is the best weapon to get if you want to use spells and sorceries often.

In terms of appearance, it is pretty straightforward with a dark purple Glintstone at the top of a wooden Staff with legend stating that this Glintstone is actually a fragment of a meteorite. The Staff cannot be upgraded but this is not required as it is ranked or rated S and the weapon does a great amount of spell damage early on. To wield this staff, you need to have 18 Intelligence.

How to Unlock the Location of the Meteorite Staff

To get to the Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring, you have to activate/discover a Site of Grace in Caelid. Without discovering at least one of the Sites of Grace in Caelid, it is not possible to get to where the weapon is. Activating these Sites of Grace requires some work but it isn’t too much of a hassle as players actually begin their journey near the location. It is advised that players get their trusty horse Torrent first before proceeding.

Here, you head over to the Dragon Burnt Ruins situated in the center of Agheel Lake. Next, go down to the basement where a chest is being guarded by some giant rats. They may look scary but they are quite weak and very easy to kill.

Opening the chest will teleport you to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel. This is a dangerous area with plenty of enemies and you will be trapped until you rest at a Site of Grace. Beware of the Centipede Soldier and Warriors as their projectiles can lead to death in two hits. After evading them, head right to Martyr’s Effigy and rest in the Site of Grace. Now leave the tunnels, hail Torrent, and escape.

Acquiring the Meteorite Staff

The Staff is found in Caelid close to the Street of Sages Ruins. Here from any Sites of Grace, you then travel to the Site of grace in Aeonia Swamp Shore. If you just escaped Sellia Crystal Tunnel then go southwest and you will arrive in the Street of Sages Ruins. You must travel quickly with Torrent straight north until you see the ruins. This is because the Swamp is made up of rad water that has Scarlet Rot.

Scarlet Rot builds up damage quickly and you must use small land platforms and surfaces to get to the actual ruins before too much damage leads to death. Upon getting across the Swamp, now look for a small building that has stairs. Inside lies a little room that contains several poisonous, deadly plants which need to be defeated. After this, there lies a corpse that is hanging out the window of the building. Interacting with the corpse will give you the Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring.

Frequently Asked Question

This section focuses on questions related to the Meteorite Staff

What Benefits Can I Get from the Meteorite Staff ?

The Staff is a great option if you want to go for a high Intelligence build. Additionally, although it cannot be upgraded, it is by default more powerful than other Staffs that have similar scaling despite multiple upgrades. The Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring is also a great weapon when coupled with the powerful Moonveil Katana that scales with Intelligence.

What Is a Good Spell for the Meteorite Staff?

Close to the same area that you can find the Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring lies Rock Sling. It’s a very powerful Gravity Spell which throws three rocks at foes. To find this, get back on your steed and head north until you come upon a large archway. Then turn left and go down the staircase in the middle of the area. And then, find the spell inside the chest at the end. This spell also requires 18 points of Intelligence to use — the same as the Staff itself.
