The Best Maps For Killers in Dead By Daylight

Dead By Daylight is known for being one of the games that bring together the most popular characters in the world of horror. Whether it is a horror game or an action game with horror elements, there is no doubt that it is a game loved by all lovers of the genre.

When we start playing, we can choose to play as one of the legends of terror or as a survivor who must escape from them. In this, the map that touches us can have vital importance. Although Behaviour Interactive constantly tries to balance them, it is undeniable that some maps favor the killers while others, the survivors. That is why today we will know the best maps for killers in Dead By Daylight, so that the next time you get one of these maps, you can take advantage of it.

Dead Dawg Saloon

The map introduced in 2020 with The Deathslinger and the survivor Zarina Kassir is undoubtedly the best map for killers. First of all, despite being the third smallest map in the game, it certainly feels like the first. This is because there are no hiding areas, vaults, or pallets on the edges of the map, making them dead zones for survivors.

Also, the hooks are very close to each other and even the basement, which appears in two fixed and very easy-to-find areas, is almost in the middle of the map. The shack also appears in the middle, but since it has a breakable wall, it is not very useful for the survivors.

The spawns on this map are also terrible. With some luck, the killers can find the survivors just by taking a few steps at the beginning of the game.

Finally, there are many other details that make this map the best for killers. The map has several hiding places for stealth killers. The amount of pallets is very reduced and to make it even worse, the tall grass greatly favors assassins using traps, such as The Trapper or The Hag. All this makes Dead Dawg Saloon a nightmare for survivors.

Midwich Elementary School

Dead Dawg Saloon may be worse for the survivors, but this map that brings us back to the Silent Hill 1 school is the direct competition. Undoubtedly the best indoor map for killers, Midwich, meets all the requirements for survivors to want to leave the game as soon as they see it.

First of all, this is also one of the smallest maps in the game. The navigation of this map is very complicated for the survivors, as it has many rooms and generators that can be very difficult to find. This map is also considered to be the most challenging to find totems, as they are really well hidden. What is not very difficult to find is the killers, as all the rooms are connected by the same corridors that they can easily patrol.

This map is the paradise of stealthy killers or those who can ignore walls. They can stalk from the corridors or rooms and in the case of others like The Nurse, directly transport along the walls and cover the entire map in just a few seconds. The hooks are also very close together, there are no very strong loops and to make things harder for the survivors, the location of the basement is one of the worst in the game.

If the survivors manage to repair the generators, they will find the worst thing on the map: the exit doors. Both will always be in the same place and if the killers stand in the middle of the map, they can control both at the same time. Certainly, one of the best maps for killers.

Treatment Theatre

Treatment Theatre

Although it is a bit more balanced than Midwich, Treatment Theatre is a great map for killers. Since The Underground Complex was removed from the game, it became the second-best indoor map for them.

The map is also very small. The layout of the map is very chaotic, so it is very easy to get lost in it. Generators can appear anywhere on the map. Although the exit doors may be somewhat difficult for killers to patrol, they are ridiculously difficult for survivors to find, so if one of them opens a door and you forget where it is, it will be almost impossible to find it before the Endgame Collapse ends.

Besides, being an indoor map, it will also favor the most stealthy killers, such as Ghostface or Myers. All this means that, although it is not better than Dead Dawg or Midwich, it is undoubtedly the most chaotic map for survivors, who will be forced to improvise and pray for good luck with the spawning of generators.

Wrecker’s Yard

Wrecker's Yard

Another map is on the side of the smaller ones. Wrecker’s Yard has a fixed basement, which will appear 100% of the time in the center of the map. This makes it really powerful for most killers, as they can patrol it without any problem.

The windows and pallets in this map also do not favor the survivors at all. Once the entity blocks a window or the killer destroys a pallet, the next place to loop is really far. This will make getting to them without getting hit very difficult.

Being an open map with very few obstructions, the killers can see the entire map and gain some control of the game right from the beginning of the game, since the only thing blocking their view is The Shack in the middle. This greatly favors several killers who can take advantage of vision and open spaces, such as The Huntress or The Hillbilly. Considering the weak loops, hiding places, and huge vision, it’s very hard to find a killer that can’t be favored by Wrecker’s Yard.
